Phenomenal cab. Fran loved it — 9 years ago
Botte 47. Phenomenally complex and constantly evolving. Initially savory with some animal fur, toasty honey (aged semillon) notes, slight star fruit. Then it evolved into dried flowers, mushroom, and dark fruit - reminded me of a young Barolo. Then black tea, green tea. Then strong dried spearmint, honeyed toasty complexity like the '81 Lopez de Heredia. Medium bodied with slightly elevated sparkling acidity. Not intense, but persistent on the palate. To borrow a phrase from Veronelli- It burrowed into my memory. I hope it made me forever better. — 10 years ago

This wine is damn real, surprisingly vertical and focused. That's wine making tradition. — 12 years ago

Looove! Super berry, smoothness, just makes me happy! — 9 years ago
Really impressive the second day. Would try again and certainly decant the next bottle. With air loses baby fat and moves from boring cherry to much more interesting spice notes like cocoa and maybe nuts. Good acidity — 10 years ago
Doesn't taste like Cabernet or merlot! Soft! — 10 years ago
其實羊皮狼是有年份的,不是NV,2001年正適飲,成熟柔美的35歲,細緻的風味是智利風格的卡門內很難展現的,酸度很棒,略帶玻美侯感! — 11 years ago
I've had 6 bottles of this. 1 was absurdly reduced, but was superb on the 3rd day. The other 5 were ethereal. Lasted for days, or sometimes, didn't last for an hour. Stunning example of what Sangiovese can be when its not over-cropped, over-ripe and over-oaked. I don't like most Sangiovese, it's no secret. Something about the creamy yogurt thing I get, and the opinion I have that Tuscany is the Napa of Italy. But this wine is real, raw, alive, unique. No oak. No additives. No bullshit. I love it. Umbrian Sangiovese fermented and aged in concrete. It changes and breathes. There's not much else like it. — 12 years ago
Beautifully floral, deceptively sweet on the nose, dry and delicious in the mouth. — 13 years ago
Medicinal and savory, opening up to an almost Burgundian prettiness about two hours in. It didn’t last, but altogether fascinating (if not consistently pleasurable). — 8 years ago
Soft and balanced, just straight-up mature. Not herb-y, not spritzy, a unique barbacarlo and lovely. — 9 years ago
Dark, funky, delicious — 10 years ago
Crazy good Italian Syrah! Think northern Rhone with cranberries... — 10 years ago
