Very subtle bubbles! Floral and just a tiny bit of sweetness. Perfect for this #Thanksgiving #dinner. Way to go #MI ! — 10 years ago
Varietally expressive and harmonious, very smooth on the palate, moderate complexity, it's the structure that does the business. Neither acid nor tannin sticks out; they work beautifully in tandem to give the fruit a snug frame and draw it to a sumptuous length. Nice drink. — 11 years ago
One of the best Pinot's in the world. Fruity, jammy yet light. Shared with Thom Yohannan — 12 years ago
This is a beautiful Chave It needs at least one and a half hours to open and show its richness and depth. It was paired against the 1978 La Chapelle which also showed extremely well. After 1.5 hours the two wines were in tandem as to quality if not as to profile. The Chave showed that classic pheromonal element that the La Chapelle does not, while the La Chapelle showed its elegance in spades. — 12 years ago
Still kicking. — 12 years ago
I like this Zin more than others here. It's old school Russian River stuff with less jam and big pepper from nose through finish unctuously lingering, lounging and tandem free-falling down ones throat. Drinking well with Ruthrrford Grill's tri-cut and enchiladas- wow! — 10 years ago

Blue Mountain Cherry Cider from Milton- Freewater Oregon. These guys are THE best in the country. Washington apples are like Michigan cherries.....epic. And guess what? They are smart enough to buy Traverse City cherries for the Blend? Mind blowing combo. AND, they do it right. Fresh pressed. No force carbonation. No added sugars. No added caramel colors. Orchard to bottle. Literally. That's it! Unlike those other brads that buy frozen Chinese apple concentrate, dump some potassium sorbate, and fake bubbles and serve that shitty soda pop as " cider". Frankly that kind of faux" orchard" crap makes me " angry"! Get it?? Ya see what I did there?? :). Truth be told - Uncle Johns, Tandem, Crispin..... You all do a nice job. Blue Mountain........league of their own. — 10 years ago
