Very elegant and round. Notes of raspberry and rhubarb. — 3 years ago
Got to pop some special bottles when my good friend Shawn came in to town!
I was ecstatic to open this and it ended up being one of the most spectacular champagnes I’ve had in recent memory, and possibly one of the most spectacular champagnes I’ve ever had. This single vineyard Blanc de noir from EO spent 6 years (!) on the less and was disgorged July 2018. Gorgeous golden straw color in the glass with minuscule bubbles. A totally dizzying aromatic display of ginger shavings, toffee, caramel dipped golden delicious apples, red berries, orange honey roasted cashews and some beautifully oxidized notes. Rich without being dense, a gorgeous palate profile of hazelnuts, lemon cream, brioche, chalky limestone and a finish that just doesn’t want to stop. This is a marriage of Krug & Taittinger Comtes. Stunning! — 4 years ago
One of my top Pinot Noir, never disappoints. Smooth, even taste from first sup to last. — 7 years ago
Closest thing to french champagne I've had from CA. Amazing. — 7 years ago
Brilliant. The description says barely sweet, but I would say balanced instead. Has a nice sweet touch to it with strawberry and vanilla. — 8 years ago
Flute number 7. Slurring my tasting notes. — 8 years ago
I think this is my new favorite rosé! Dry and crisp with hints of watermelon and blood orange. — 9 years ago
Finally drinking month's shipment, this one is amazing! Heading back to Napa next week, can't wait! — 10 years ago
This is a new cuvée 17.5 grams residual aged 4 years on the lees the blend is 40 Chardonnay 30 Pinot meunière and 30 Pinot noir. Red cherry pie fruit pretty with fresh flowers a good bit of sweetness but finishes fresh with pretty floral notes. Finish 40+ excellent — 11 years ago
Shared in Menlo Park. Crisp refreshing & consistently very enjoyable with fish! — 3 years ago
2014 FIFA World Cup series. My goodness, dark gold color, brioche/strawberry aroma, yeast, lemon curds, bread pudding. Spritzy start, blueberry scone, noticeable sweet quality-shockingly good. — 4 years ago
This is the vintage rose, a step up from the cuvée pompadour. Still quite young and fresh red fruits burst from the glass as the pinot dominates. It’s balanced by great acidity and a crisp finish that lets the fruit keep shining. These will improve for several more years and should be drinking great a decade in. This was best on night 3 as the fruit profile settled nicely into the rest of the structure. — 5 years ago
Great sparkling rose. Not sweet — 7 years ago

New Years Eve treat. — 10 years ago
Consumed 05/2020. It is 100% Pinot Noir. I did not know that was the grapes used to make this. Blanc de Noir translates to white wine from black grapes. Elegant, complex, round and toasty. It’s very refreshing. — 4 years ago
The ‘12 is not quite as round as the ‘11. Not showing it’s 6 years on the lees as boldly. Still some toasty notes to compliment the white fruit and acidity. Has only been in bottle for a few months so might integrate a bit more in the short term. — 5 years ago
From a very recent disgorgement after a couple of years hiatus for this wine. Still extremely fresh in the bottle and tastes slightly sweeter than the 9gl/liter dosage at this stage. White cherry and almond along with the darker fruit profile from the 100% pinot noir (although this is completely pale). Nice now, but a couple years to chill in the bottle will help improve. — 6 years ago
It's pretty big for a Pinot. My wife loves this! — 8 years ago
