Pale gold color with appealing mango, pineapple, honey and hints of ginger, sweet spice and citrus aromas. On the palate it's medium bodied, and off-dry with a supple, smooth texture and very good acidity. The flavors follow the aromas with spiced sweet lemon joining the party. One of the best Syrahs I ever had. From Paso, and competing right up there with the Justins and Daous of the region. Very silky and beautifully balanced. Just a really big wine. — 10 years ago

Really has held up quite well. You can see the southern Rhone inspiration but the breadth in the mid palate belies it's California qualities. Great example of age worthy CA red. — 10 years ago

Wow! Light and bright and lovely... We enjoyed this one so much more than I remembered from the tasting room. I'm not usually a huge fan of grenache, but this was so elegant. The acidity made me wish we had a few bottles to hold and taste in a few years. — 10 years ago
