Fully developed and perhaps slightly on its down swing, but still a lot to love about this wine. Really burgundian nose with pounding tertiary aromas. Decaying earth, wet bark, canned mushrooms, dried flowers, berries with baking spice and that unnamable "funk" that calls back to its french heritage. Acid and structure holding together like a weathered but elegant victorian home. Its everything i love about pinot — 9 years ago
It must be the season. It’s time for another cracking Shiraz. Again a very fruit forward style. This time with lashings of mulberry and raspberry predominating on the palate. Lacking a little mid-palate complexity, even after a 3 hour decant. Just hints of dark chocolate bitterness and black olive before the fine but drying tannins take over, driving a long finish. Not too dissimilar in style to Hannah’s Swing, just not as well composed. Nice, but not outstanding. — 10 years ago

Wonderful blend of fully bodied and fruit flavors. Tough to budget into a daily routine but worth it if you can swing it. — 10 years ago
Post-redeye recovery in full swing. #rhys — 10 years ago
Still very young, but opening nicely to tart cherry, blood/iron minerality and black raspberry on the nose. With roasted chicken it's gonna swing! — 11 years ago
Tastes like Chandon but with a brighter and slightly drier finish — 11 years ago
Pale greeny gold. Lemony apple with a swing of incense, dry, good acidity, delightfully well balanced twixt fruit and acidity. Excellent with lemon baked mackerel. — 12 years ago
Near perfect. The #blancdeblancs from Mumm Napa age so beautifully, especially out of #magnums! Some fresh citrus notes, but smells and flavors of a bakery in full swing dominate, toasty almond and slightly burnt baguette. I have been waiting to #saber this wine for a while, my sons birthday was the perfect occasion. — 9 years ago
Finally a bottle of PYCM at the table. Part-time micro-négociant since 2001, but in full swing since he left the company of his father (Marc Colin) in 2005. Lovely Saint-Aubin villages - 50+ year old vines. When the cork came of the scent of the wine was a bit soapy, but that blew of really quick. Elegant wine, nice breadth, pointy citric finish. — 10 years ago
Big swing from high acidity to round and sweet. — 10 years ago
Nectar of angels indeed! 2011 shows much better than previous years. Good to see this baby Amarone, back in full swing. Bright to black, light to dark to bright flavor profile. It's like Jedi molecules are hashing it out on my palette. . Yum. — 10 years ago
Holiday party in full swing! — 11 years ago

This is the ticket. One more day with a chance for showers and then pink mania will be in full swing. — 12 years ago
Slightly piney. Lemony. Smells like unsmoked pot. — 12 years ago

Gorgeous. Just fine combo of funk and fineness and line and length like a great Glenn McGrath over with a bit of Damien Flemings out swing to keep the batsman guessing. Tops — 10 years ago
Good lord this is ridiculous. Buy a case if you can swing it — 10 years ago
Stunning for its finesse contrasted by remarkable elegance, the 2010 Cerbaiona provides a bouquet of lifted red fruits, exotic spice, provincial herbs, and pretty red floral tones. The textures were silky and refined, hovering on the palate, with notes of fresh savory herbs, green olive, and ripe black cherry, which seemed to swing back and forth from sweet to savory. A coating of fine tannin saturated the senses with hints of cherry and herbs on the long finish. — 10 years ago
The 2009 Kings Row is an interesting wine with rich tobacco, cherry and licorice aromas. This has a lusciously smooth taste of the red fruit, pencil shavings with a slight hint of spices that lingers on your palate makes this a nice guilty pleasure. It is costly and a nice treat but there are others out there that have a better value to quality ratio for those that don't want to drop big bucks. But if you can swing it please treat yourself. #kingsrow #calistoga #checkerboard — 10 years ago
Fabulous notes, pairs well with just about anything from fruit to chicken. Porch swing favorite on a spring night! — 11 years ago
This definitely makes me want to swing from the rafters — 11 years ago
This was a lovely wine. If you're ever near St. Helena swing by and pay these folks a visit... — 11 years ago
Needs some aging. Made in desert region of Monterey! 2500 ft, 80 swing in temps — 12 years ago
2011 Barboursville Vineyards Vermentino. The 2011 vintage was a rough one in Virginia, but amidst & from it, Luca Pascina added just the right amount of neutral oak to bookend what may very well become a new staple for Virginia collectors and international connoisseurs as well. You watch. When the more zesty, ripe, stainless-produced 2012's come along make sure to give it a swing. Specially with linguine in clam sauce. Oy. — 13 years ago
