Challenging vintage 2014 was in Northern Greece. This is Xinomavro from 60 year old vines grown at 600m elevation. Draws distinct parallels with Nebbiolo- floral nose leading into red cherry, cranberry, almond paste, leather, caraway seed and mint. Leathery tannins and decent acid retention. Finish falls away a bit, but otherwise pretty handy stuff. — 7 years ago
Supremely drinkable. All day really. — 8 years ago
Delicious blend! — 8 years ago
I always knew this wine would age well...16 yrs and showing some raisinated fruit, but still has vibrancy. Loads of fig and olives — 9 years ago
Fresh, crunchy red fruit, medium on the palate, yet with a tannic grip and with bright, juicy acidity. Highly drinkable. — 7 years ago
Prefect on a hot summer day — 8 years ago
Not that familiar with Greek wines. So it was a nice surprise to taste this Diaporos. Earthy and full as good as any Italian Barolo I've had. — 9 years ago
Great choice with halibut — 10 years ago
This was a good one — 5 years ago
Sweet cherries on the nose, plums, earthiness, and slight salinity. Palate finishes dry, with tart cherry. Medium body. Reminds me of piedmont nebbiolo. — 7 years ago
Very dry full body wine- salty pig — 8 years ago
Spicy, earthy, black berries. Syrah speaks loudly. Not enough acidity to cut through the moussaka. — 9 years ago
