As good if not better than the 2011, this wine also passes the screw cap test for aging. Stored upright, btw, no need to keep the cork wet! With steelhead and roasted yellow beets, yummy! — 8 years ago
Excellent acidity and minerality. Soft yet robust. Paired well with steelhead mousse.

A classic example of well made Willamette pinot from high quality fruit. Nice full bodied feel, mature bitter cherry with spice, maybe a hint of white pepper? With steelhead trout on the patio ... Bliss ;) — 8 years ago
Dry, easy to drink red blend. — 8 years ago
For the first couple of courses… quite nice especially with the steelhead roe — 9 years ago
Beautiful, rich, great acidity and fat for the warm vintage. Paired well with Oysters, spicy tomato lentil and duck soup and some steelhead. — 9 years ago
A waiter at Steelhead Diner in Seattle turned us on to Januik in 2010. Love this! — 10 years ago
Excellent mellow red. Had it at Bonefish with the Steelhead. — 7 years ago
This was elegantly rich with bright fruit notes and a smooth finish. Loved it with Steelhead grilled on the smoker, wild mushroom risotto and sautéed broccolini- perfect pairing, particularly for the earthy mushroom flavor. — 7 years ago
I live on the edge of ABC (All But Chardonnay, except Chablis and unoaked Chardonnay, that is), until this lovely 2014 Stoller Family Estate Reserve Chardonnay (sample, $35). Holy deliciousness, Batman! The 11 months in French oak add a beautiful texture and backbone to a citrus- and tree-fruit driven wonder on the palate. I'm especially drawn to the lime finish. If only all oaked Chardonnays could be like this one. The pairing: Baked Steelhead trout. — 8 years ago

Apples and pears, with touches of flowers, honey, and even a little hint of grapefruit. Acidity is very well balanced with both crisp and soft notes. Nice gravely minerality. Very nice wine. I had it with roasted steelhead, potatoes with leeks, and Mediterranean vegetables. — 7 years ago
If this ain't my favorite Syrah (that I've had), it's pretty damned close. Beautiful, brambly, floral, peppery awesomeness. Perfectly textured and structured. Grizzly elegance. Kind of a Côte Rôgue-tie. Love this wine. — 7 years ago
Opened up a little funky, but that burned off over time. Not quite what we had at the release event at the winery, but still lovely and complex--an excellent pairing with cedar-planked steelhead with citrus ginger seasoning and grilled squash. Butterscotch and apricot on the nose, tart dried apricots on the palate and a long finish. — 8 years ago
In Spokane with the very Rev Dr Kula eating steelhead plucked by hand from a NW river. It doesn't get any better then this! — 8 years ago
Anne's Melon/Muscadet gives me cravings for seafood with a little oomph, like blini w steelhead roe or miso & udon noodle soup with shrimp & Vietnamese soup greens. It's like having a muse in the glass! — 9 years ago
Absolutely delicious! Rich deep cherry Flavors and aromas, soft supple mouth feel, perfect pairing with steelhead and risotto. — 9 years ago
Wonderful wine that goes with an appetizer or a steelhead main course! — 10 years ago
This is a small batch winery from Salts Spring Island just of the shore of Victoria B.C. It is still a young grape with lots of acidity in front . As it opened up the fruit and soils came through. I would buy again and decant longer. Went well with Steelhead Salmon. — 11 years ago
