So good. Krissy/nick — 8 years ago
100% Knights Valley cab with a Bordeaux sensibility. Tobacco leaf nose and medium body, dark red fruit on a nice tannic frame. Peaking. Stark contrast to the Robert Foley '04 Claret we drank beside it, whose Napa extraction and finish could not be more different. Kudos to the team @DCK Healsburg — 9 years ago
Nose of flowers and funky earth. Dark black and red berries on a mid-to-full body. Good tangy. Very nice with food, great value. — 9 years ago

I like this one. A lot. They're serving grilled cheese with ages cheddar and fig. — 11 years ago
A delicious Syrah. Matured from the wine I drank at the winery. Opened nicely and drank smoothly. — 8 years ago
Fruchtig, nur leicht verdeckt vom Barrique, der nicht zu stark ist. Ein schöner Wein. — 8 years ago
Beautiful nose of stark slate and lime zest. A confectionary quality develops afterv 10-15 minutes. Very clean and pure and very Mosel. This is drinking really well out of the gates. Initially there is underripe peach, green apple, lime lest, stones and more stones. Terrific acidity that could use maybe 30-40 minutes to integrate on the backend. Gets fleshier with each sip and show the fleshy fruit of the 2012's in full force. Really luscious fruit develops after 20 minutes or so.

Ripe unctuous fruit with smoky meaty aromas. Definitely Mediterranean Syrah. — 9 years ago
Very stark beer but still very smooth and easy to drink. — 10 years ago
Stark and clean 100% Sangiovese — 11 years ago
Outstanding. No Southern Hemisphere pyrazine, thiols, iron, veg or whatever you want to call it. Balanced, firm, layered with beautiful subtle black fruit. This is spectacular wine — 11 years ago
Very sweet red, maybe a little too much, but tasty and fun :) — 8 years ago
Delectable red berry and black plums on the nose with an amazingly smooth finish. The acidity is just perfect in this Cabernet. — 8 years ago

Interesting to read through the comments in this wine, it's not for everyone, but I love it. It reminds me of Big Black, if anyone remembers them from the 80s, the stark tannin structure is like that metallic grating guitar, cleansing, purifying, hard, stripped down. Orange wine is stripped down, it is missing the veneer of fruit and color, that is part of what is so special about it. It is like bauhaus architecture, you see the steel girders and the electrical conduit. This one is particularly that way. With a delicious resolution. — 7 years ago
