Staff tasted this at Market Table NYC. This wine is beautiful. The best of Beaujolais style and California in perfect harmony. Very fresh, bright and elegant gamay. Thank you Raj Parr, Duncan Arnot, and Nathan Roberts! — 10 years ago
And we wind things down with this gem. Everything you could ask for in a premier cab - dark red fruits, vanilla, and even some truffle. Perfectly balanced after 2 hours of decanting by the expert staff at the French Laundry. Unforgettable experience. — 10 years ago
Did a staff tasting of some amazing Napa Valley wines and we all really enjoyed this one! — 11 years ago
Another lovely gem from the Northwestern corner of out little state! We were in for a treat, as the staff here really know how to treat a guest, and this made out top choice of their many lovely wines! Full flavored and just a bit sweet, we are looking forward to having this on a weekend night that we can spend together alone. — 12 years ago
Our K&L Redwood City staff party at LB steak was fantastic- nothing smaller than magnum allowed! We started with mags of this single vineyard Champagne from the gouts d'or parcel in Brouillet, based on 2007. It was creamy and full without loosing its excellent snap and minerality! — 12 years ago
Nice work here, tasted almost the entire staff on this and everyone was enthralled. Intensely aromatic and dry as a bone. — 12 years ago
We discovered this vineyard on a quick trip to the coast. Not to be swayed by the knowledgable staff or the beautiful surroundings, we brought home 2 bottles of this lovely can blend. We were not disappointed. Lush, smooth, with just enough fruit without being 'sweet.' Stood up well to Armenian dolmas. A new favorite. — 13 years ago
A monopole out of negociant Antonin rodet. Honeyed straw colour with a lightly caramel nose. Refreshing and refined lemon, caramel and honey taste. Nice! And very good value versus bigger names from burgundy. Can also heartily recommend a visit to their cellar door, the staff at which made it one of the most inviting and accommodating we have ever been to. — 10 years ago

First night back in St. Barths. The staff strongly suggested this wine as he ordered a few cases from France. Rounded out a great night. — 10 years ago
One of my top five Cali chards for sure. Last of our 2012, shared with the staff during wine training today! — 11 years ago

One the most well balanced Pinot I've had in a long time. Great recommendation by the staff. — 11 years ago
Powerful aromatics, flowers, tropical fruits, but like with a muscat or a gewurtz... Just too much. A tad too heavy for casual drinking. If served at right temp. It would have maybe presented itself more honourably. A wine with a story. The trigger for a totally inexpected burst of generosity from a member of Eurostar staff.... Detail in person. — 12 years ago
Stunning. Lean and racy with a bit of yeasty kick, but little of the oxidative character of Champagne.
To Delectable staff this is Viura and Chardonnay; only the rose has Grenache.

$14.95 - very mild and smooth, not very dry — 9 years ago
Only 3 barrels produced, making this CA Pinot Noir very special. The great staff at V Wine Cellar Yountville tipped us off on this one and we are sure glad they did. Earth, rose, spice and minerals all unfold into some eye opening excitement on the palate! #vivierwines #vivier #sonomacoast #sunchasevineyard — 10 years ago
From pre-phylloxera vines, Taylor's bought a small lot of only three barrels from the 1863 vintage that had been quietly resting in a cellar for well over a century—the producer had the foresight to reserve them when phylloxera swept through the region. An important wine because, as Taylor's staff pointed out, ungrafted vines no longer exist in the Douro. An incredible experience, and one that I felt lucky to have since the winery has fewer than 12 bottles remaining.
There is an incredible, concentrated sweetness on the nose; coffee, vanilla, maple syrup, and dried tobacco leaf. In the mouth, lacquered elegance, a long toffee-hued ribbon slowly unfurling, like removing a sheet from an ancient mahogany bureau, there is dust and warm wood and leather, layered against dates, dried orange skins and burnt sugar. Spiciness and minerality emerge on the finish, filtered sunlight through ancient glass and sea salt captured by time and slow evaporation. — 10 years ago
Spice on the nose and blueberries on first front mouth blush then coats and hangs to the the back, then dissipates. In spite of the abbreviated finish, the front is so good you have to be impressed, at a very affordable price point. This cafe is an amazing quaint spot completely island casual but sparing nothing on presentation - delicious; groovy local art; cool staff; and amazing food! Check it out, along with the Pinot😎 — 11 years ago

Surdyks Staff Selection (Noelle Star). Stellenbosch, South Africa 2014. "Overgaauw is one of South Africa’s pioneer wine estates. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%) that shows concentrated berry aromas and flavors. Not jammy or sweet. The supporting notes of violet, cocoa powder, a definite mineral presence along with a hint of espresso bring balance, and the mouth-coating texture and serious structure make this a wine worthy of a higher price tag than it possesses. Perfect for just about anything on your dinner menu, but incredibly delicious with an aged Cheddar – especially in the form of homemade mac-and-cheese."
Great with spicy brown-sugar glazed grilled salmon. — 9 years ago
