This is a nice and light Cabernet Franc from Virginia. Showing red and blue fruits with earth, honeysuckle, chocolates, oak, vegetables and spices.
Light ruby in color with medium intensity.
Very pretty nose, sweet and flowery.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Good right out of the bottle., light and airy. Would be nice to revisit it in a couple of years.
A good food wine that I paired with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses olive crackers.
12% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Buttery, rich, wonderful nose. One of my favorite wines. A bit pricey but worth it. — 9 years ago
What a great vintage this turning out to be...the hot, dry(er) summer brought a nice balance of sugar and acid. This was wisely Merlot heavy (60%), lending to cherry notes. However, the Merlot is sturdy alto that allows the PV and CF to harmonize their tenor cords. This was from some delightful place between Rhone and the Right Bank :) Well done and a Superb Value at 22$ — 9 years ago
Earthy, dark fruit, licorice — 11 years ago
Red berry, humid summer forest, hints of old leather jacket and hard candies on the nose. Plum, raspberry, tart cherry, notes of vanilla, soft puckering tannins lingering with juicy cranberry on the finish. Nice red for Virginia. Went well with pizza. — 4 years ago

We are so pleased to welcome Horton Norton back to our table. This was a young, 2014 Norton, and given about 30 minutes to open up, it really was lovely. Fruit up front, gorgeous color, plum and tart cherry flavor. Wow. Was AMAZING with a beef and butternut squash stew. — 9 years ago

Really enjoyed the balance of fruit and oak - good for a cooler day when you still want a white. Not ideal summer drinking wine — 4 years ago
