1997 vintage. Sori San Lorenzo. At Harry's Bar for Soprano's Dinner. Deep ruby hue. Quite reticent at first. Almond paste and deep blackberry fruit. Integrated ripe tannins. Tar and iris flowers. On the palate, high acidity, medium body, medium Alcohol and long finish. Excellent although still very youthful. drink now until 2036. — 9 years ago

Great wine to start 2015 — 11 years ago
Powerful wine here. Love it. Gentle on the nose. The real hit here is the palate. You start with black cherries and then comes the tobacco, vanilla and leather. Firm tannins are present but it is well balanced and very enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Very good, medium-bodied, refined Italian Red. A steal for the price. (93) — 13 years ago

Sori tildin somewhere in the 80's label has vanished. The color is deep brown but the nose is so complex, what you would expect from top barbaresco. — 7 years ago
Double IPA estonienne un peu à la West Coast, très amère, houblonnée, fruitée et épicée. Elle titre à 8.1. J' adore — 8 years ago
2 hour decant and this opened up nicely to reveal layers of red fruit. Very enjoyable. — 10 years ago

Red Label 1.5L Magnum
Classic Nebbiolo Nose of Leather, Tar, Truffles, Mushrooms and Spices.
Very Long Finish.
Deep Brick Color in Glass.
Red Fruit still present, in spite of age (27 years old).
Magnum Format preserved this Barbaresco beautifully.
Drank it over two days.
Paired with 1996 Gaja "Sori Tildin" and 1996 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Riserva "Falletto di Serralunga" Red Label.

Strong Blackberry (blackberry pie), ripe strawberries, subtle spice and vanilla (Slavonian oak). Strong, gripping tannins, raspberries, sour cherry on palate. Classic Barberesco. 2008. Second day: dark chocolate m, dark cherry, less tartness on palate, continuing strong tannins. Very good. — 9 years ago
