Some spices, black cherries, sun dried tomatoes & some hints of a spicy barbecue sauce. Showing signs of beginning to reach maturity. Spices and black cherries with some herbs, sun dried tomatoes. A jewel in a tough year. Wonderful nose. Fresh berries, cassis, cedar, and tobacco. My favorite of the night against some higher rated wines. — 8 years ago

Stunning at almost 30 years of age. Decanted for an hour or so, opened beautifully. Pipe tobacco, plum, dank pit (Moe the bartender), tons of anise, soft tannins with some grip, holding up incredibly well. I would have guessed mid to late 90's napa cab based on looks and taste... thanks @Matthew Nagy what a treat. — 10 years ago

Like always a true gentleman, somewhat lean but very sophisticated. Silky wine with fruit preserved. Very little signs of evolution. Very aristocratic but lacks some flesh. Still very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
