Boulevard/Cigar City collab. Gotta say I like this tropical find. Pineapple, lemon and cocoanut nose, orange blossom and marigold. Rich Amber in the glass, active bubbles and midway to opaque. White head and leopard lacing. Honey that winds up into lemon, and finally orange peel. Balanced, and revisits pineapple. No cloying or dominating arias here just a choir of angels holding an endless note. Heavenly! — 9 years ago
The white star of the evening, despite having a subdued nose of prickling minerality, lemon zest diesel kumquat and spice. Not going to be a real long-lived vintage, but may probably show even better in 5 years. Palate was explosive and concentrated to the point of pain, layered with fresh spicy kumquat. A lighter color than usual due to solitary old barrel use in this one, a bit lighter in body but by no means less potent. Outstanding blanc! 1991 vintage. — 9 years ago

Found out the bun Rachel has been cooking is going to be a boy- so we popped the campest drink we could find in his honour. 8.5% Chenin. Fizz & a heavy touch of residual sugar. Complete with sassy leopard print top. Way the dude makes this seems to be the strangest method of making a naturally sparkling bottle- but it's worked. And we're happy. — 8 years ago
Smooth and fruity (but not sweet) with natural and organic/earthy flavors. Goes great as a pre Sri Lankan curry dinner. Color looks like a desert wine - solid gold - but is not sweet at all. Tough to find this wine, but worth every penny. — 8 years ago
"Love. Of course, love. Flames for a year, ashes for thirty." This well-known quote by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa' s The Leopard, sum up in few words who's the true enemie in aging wine and waiting too much before you die: the time! Arianna's SP68 white - she's a sicilian native as the writer of The Leopard - is here to remind us first of all that life is too short to collect so many wines without knock them back sooner mainly when they're pleasant fresh and fragrant; therefore that her wine more than others, is a flame of supreme love, though, we must drink up before it turns into ashes! — 9 years ago
A JK Carriere of momentous proportion, with a decidedly Burgundian sensibility, the 2004 Antoinette opens with expressive aromas of damp tilth, forest floor, roasted game, cranberry compote and rose hips. There is a wildness to this wine that is difficult to pinpoint, solitary treks through pristine forest in the Olympic Peninsula come to mind. The acid, the purity of fruit and absolute terroir shines through. Masculine yet elegant, it finishes with dried herbs, mint and pink peppercorn. — 10 years ago
