Soft and luscious, a delight in the mouth. Not at all the alcohol burn of most ryes. I will definitely seek this one out. — 7 years ago

Out of the three Rye Whiskey samples that we tried this was my favorite. Keeping in mind that I was a "Rye Whiskey Virgin" until that night, so I'm no expert. But I do know what I like. It was smooth out of the glass, had a nice nose, and wasn't over powering. Jeff and I agreed, and ranked this one 1st. — 9 years ago

Velvety, smooth, blackfruit, wood, vanilla, L-M tannin, long chocolate black fruit finish... GOOD! — 11 years ago
It’s a nice wheated bourbon, and at the price can be a go-to workhorse. It’s got the same spice profile as ORVW, but lacks the soft finish. It’s good though, and just being in the Van Winkle conversation is saying something. — 6 years ago
Very tasty. Perfect for drinking on a summer night! — 7 years ago
Translucent red in colour. Spice red current on the nose. Full bodied red currents, raspberries and spice on the palate. A unique red best served chilled. Great summer drinking! — 7 years ago
2012 drinking very well. Blackberry chocolate, a little stone fruit around the edges; satisfying. Fine tannins at the right level of grip. — 8 years ago
A Blanton's look a like at half the price. — 8 years ago
Cherry on the nose, berry with notes of cocoa on the palate, smooth, round tannins, rich layered finish. Tim's impressed w/ the 2010. Paired w/minestrone soup, grilled NY strip steaks, NW veg blend. — 9 years ago

Have yet to have an EK bottle disappoint. This is in a fantastic window right now. So good. From the winery; ‘In the glass, the 2013 Small Town Pinot is a very pretty medium garnet color. Explosive aromas of crushed red cherry, forest floor and spice abound, followed by an outright party of ripe cranberry, strawberry, black plum and rhubarb pie on the palate. All rounded out by hints of juniper berry, nutmeg and cloves. A hair riper than last year, but no less graceful, there’s a pleasant sense of all-around finesse.’ All ringing true tonight. Loved this. — 6 years ago
