This is the ultimate red wine!! 😍 You taste the fruit as soon as it hits your tongue. Has a smooth finish. This definitely is a mislabel because their is no end to the hope in this bottle. #Perfect10 — 8 years ago
First Clemens Busch Riesling. First one I've been even able to find out here; not that much of his wines make it out to Minnesota.
I think this might be a slightly off bottle or too young/in a dumb phase of sorts because it's not super expressive and seems slightly closed, but even still it's quite good nonetheless. Very mineral, clean, subtle and elegant Riesling here. Pours a pale gold hue. Medium concentration of aromas of slightly underripe nectarine and white peach, lime juice, clean river water and wet slate minerality, fresh jasmine floral character, some TDN that is showing more "new plastic" than "petrol", some subtle cardamom character and a touch of savory leesiness. On the palate it shows damn near identically to the nose. High acid, light body but with pleasant slightly oily, dense leesy texture. Pretty much dry but definitely not *bone* dry. Medium (-) alcohol, in balance. This is some pretty good stuff and will probably buy another bottle of this stuff to see if it shows any more generously than this one or if it is truly just in a relatively inexpressive phase. Can definitely see why this producer is so hyped. — 8 years ago

The 2010 Esprit de Beaucastel from Tablas Creek was a tough act to follow, but this elegant Rhône blend from Sonoma just did that.
The nose was quite similar with aroma of blue fruits and earthy elements with hint of violet, it was the palate that set it apart: soft, complex and deep, with great texture and beautiful acidity that adds the tension. Elegant and seamless.
Kale Anderson was the long time wine maker at Pahlmeyer, and Kale wines are all vineyard-specific. Worth seeking out. — 6 years ago

GSM + Cinsaut..... Nice blend. — 11 years ago
Riesling attack! Still trying to wrap my head around these guys - this one is a bit sweeter than I'm used to, wine soda, but I imagine thats a shortcoming of my palette and not this wine, which has some pretty great fruit and minerals behind it. — 11 years ago
Delicious. Full. Not overly fruity. — 13 years ago
Just perfect. Light color, but lots of depth in flavor. Red berries and Central Otago dirt. Strong sense of terroir and place. Perfect balance. And so, so drinkable. — 6 years ago
Had this with a nice creamy cheese and fruit/nut crackers (slightly sweet) and it was all delicious. — 7 years ago

Complex nose. Bread, nuts, lemon merengue, slate, and a reductive smokey note. On the palate, the wine is stuffed with substance but is yet to unfurl and bubbles are quite pronounced which distracts from the flavour profile. Slightly disappointing but full if potential. — 6 years ago
