I saw a bottle of 06 Royal City close on auction yesterday for $285.00, @Bill Bender had no idea they could fetch that kind of cash nowadaysThis is a great Viking style brew. You know, compared to the other Viking style brews I've had..... — 10 years ago

Imagine aged plums and white cherries blowing a hole through the back of your skull like a 12 gauge. That only partially captures the experience of this amarone on the nose. Medium minus acidity and gentle tannins make this quaffable, yet still deserving of a considered reflection. High quality producer, corked. — 10 years ago

Mind blown...Big Bang'd all over the inside of my skull...intense dark fruits with intense dark chocolate and coffee....love of my life now. P.S. Bo and Brandon, the French are awesome too haha! — 11 years ago

A really good bottle of red. #California #Skull — 10 years ago
Oh gee, big surprise. Another great IPA from the San Diego area. Who woulda thunk it? This has a smoother hop with less bite but it's still flavorful. I like the lower ABV which makes it a great start to an evening. Just on the edge of being a session ale at 7%. — 11 years ago
Cool skull drawing on the back. Says dry but more in the middle as Rieslings go — 12 years ago

Every Bordeaux cliche in the book: graphite, cedar box, soy, cèpes, wet earth, five spice, forest floor. At its peak, gone completely secondary in terms of aromas/flavors...yet vital, vigorous and quite obviously has another gear left. Properly 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, and not blemished with either drying doses of new oak or the skull-splitting level of alcohol that makes drinking most modern classified growths a grotesque test of endurance. — 7 years ago
