Lovely, off the beaten path Gamay Noir from Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, Canada.
Drinking with Rob Thorne. He bought this in Vancouver last summer.

Very different, bitter in a good way, not fruit forward. — 10 years ago
Have held this for a couple of years and decided it was time to open this Similkameen blend. It has a beautiful velvety colour. Smells of fresh dark wild berries and plums. Taste here is a winner. Combination of dark and red fruits and berries, but dark plums, black currant, raspberries are the dominant notes. It’s very smooth, with a very a subtle but noticeable pepper acidity that is well integrated. Very small hints of leather and musk. Overall, it’s a velvety, deeply well integrated and smooth wine. — 7 years ago

Quite a nose for a BC Syrah. Almost barossa like. Great wine. — 8 years ago
Quoth the sommelier: "I think this what Bordeaux is going for but I like this better." Reminiscent of that Graves that one time.... rich but not forceful, best after the main event than right alongside, where its character can complement the memory of other flavours without having to shout alongside them. Very good. — 9 years ago
Lovely sip. Slight dry taste on the tongue but sweet fruit finish. — 9 years ago
My father in law says this may be the best bottle of wine he has ever had -and that's really saying something :) — 10 years ago
An impromptu @Orofinowinery Riesling tasting. All 3 were enjoyed but the Home. Vineyard seems to have been the fave. — 11 years ago
Fantastic. Went really well with Greek chicken and roast potatoes. Lots in f flavour, almost like a Chardonnay, but with notes of ripe apple and pear. Crisp and clean. — 6 years ago
Deep black fruit. Incredible body, fills the mouth and has a touch of grip . Inky, rich, juicy, and complete. Funnily enough I get a purple Jolly rancher flavour somewhere in there.
All in all, absolutely incredible. I can only imagine how it would age, but am so impressed with how drinkable it is already as a 2015. Very very good, especially at the price!! The similkameen is a real hot spot right now. — 7 years ago
2013 with sushi. Fresh and still fruity. — 8 years ago

Nice blend. Don't usually reach for Merlots, but the Cabernet Sauvignon balances it nicely. — 10 years ago
