V16. Smokey, toasty, soft nose. Juicy black berry fruit. Slightly tart, earth and oak finish. Well balanced. — 7 years ago
Mahogany color with molasses, caramel, espresso, bittersweet chocolate and subtle baking spice aromas. On the palate it's full bodied, viscous, and very persistent with a supple mouth feel that's beautifully balanced with a penetrating acidity that keep it from being cloying and persistent with very good acidity that keeps it from being cloying and provides balance. It shows very sweet flavors of molasses, honey-dipped figs, dates, caramel, and baking spice nuanced citrus note with a kiss of oxidation that adds to its allure and complexity. Had the 2023 in December of 2025. Paired with beef burgundy and was most enjoyable. Fruits-cherry and berry. Silky smooth tannins. Hint (?) of spice on the end. Plan to get a couple more bottles of this next time I go to Costco. Especially at the price point! — 5 months ago

I got this on a whim and a college budget for Valentine's Day. Both my partner and I thought it was not too bad for $7-- I liked the notes of citrus balanced by the dryness. If I were making mimosas I would definitely go for this. — 11 years ago
Great wine to drink with red meats — 12 years ago
