Palo Cortado is the rarest type of sherry, surrounded by myths and legends. It accounts for 0.001% of Sherry produced. A great way to begun the evening. #renegadewines — 10 years ago
The '13 is aging well - long lees contact makes for fruit bowl aromatics and balanced/delish rhubarb pie flavors with wee bit o funk. Drink cool, not cold. — 10 years ago

This one bottle has been sitting on our shelf for over a year. Today I finally broke and decided to try it out. Good news: it's excellent. Abundant coffee, chocolate, mint, and dusty earth secondary aromas on blackberry pie, primarily. Jammy, yet, fresh flavors of tart black fruit, tobacco, sage, asphalt, and more as the wine continues to open up. A sleeper. — 9 years ago
Dark and intriguing, the Del Part Vineyard is exotic. Texturally seductive, this wine is loaded with aromas of raspberry pie filling and fresh black cherries.. Soft and succulent, the wine lingers long on the palate. Zesty acidity and opulent dark fruit integrate for a most interesting experience from front to back on this heavy weight beauty.
Drink now through 2019.

Pronounced ruby color with legs. Aromas of cherry pie, vanilla, rhubarb, sage, and blackberry jam. Med + body, med tannins. The palate echoes the nose, with additional ripe flavors of warm mincemeat pie with fresh vanilla ice cream. A fine example of Amador Zin! — 10 years ago
This rating is for the Carte Blanche white wine, not the Syrah as may be noted. Honeysuckle and ripe quince. Slightly oxidized, oak-free Californian. Pairing with a Corsican pie with greens and zucchini flowers. — 10 years ago
A very complex and layered wine. Great depth. Toasted nuts, graham cracker pie crust, dried apricot, golden raisins, crushed rocks, pain aux raisins, sea salt. There's a great earthy layer almost like damp button mushrooms. Lots of umami character. Love the nose, almost with this allusion that theres lots of RS but palate is defined and elegant. A beam of acid followed by a finish that is very persistent. — 9 years ago
Baked cherry pie, cranberries, sour cherries, smoke. A bit fruit forward but bright tangy acidity balances the palate. Good with anything tomato & basil. — 9 years ago
The 2013 Grandmére is an instant classic. Mint, blackberry pie, blueberry crepe, and classic French Vanilla all play a flawless role on the nose. Opulent with complexity on the palate, it is graceful yet possesses a juicy vitality that begs for another sip. — 9 years ago

I'm biased because I love Carmenere. Let this one breath for a while. Berry pie, chocolate, oaky vanilla and warm spice. Tastes like a much more expensive wine! Delicious bargain. — 10 years ago
