Crystal clear straw yellow with green hues in the glass. Lots of mineral on the salty chalky nose with a touch of match strike. Bright lemon and lime lead the charge here but Granny Smith Apple and pear round out to finishing flavors of shortbread and toasted marshmallow that are balanced by lip smacking acidity. 2008 Vintage. Dark ruby red in the glass. The nose offers up lilac, high toned cherry, strawberry preserves, chamomile tea and clay. Black raspberry, & shortbread burst onto the palate, but this wine is all about texture. Very rich, polished, texture that has bright acidity to bring this wine full circle.
