My first Chinese wine! Very interesting. youthful and lean as an 09 but developing brotryis flavours. Very long earthy & soil finish. Couldn't peg it.... — 9 years ago

Superbly done. Round smooth and yet full bodied. A real discovery of a great Chinese wine. Highly recommended. Thanks Mark 😉 — 10 years ago

85% CS, 15% Merlot. 19 months in new French oak. Plum, cherry, and black currant. Rose, cinnamon and nutmeg. M acid and body. M+ front tannin. Good structure and balance. Just needs more time to mature. — 9 years ago
Shanxi Bordeaux blend by Grace Vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon (78%) & Merlot (22%). 2011 will get better, but stemmy and needs some time to decked in bottle. Good stuff! — 9 years ago
In my option one of the premier liquors in the world. I smells horribly but once you are used to it's unusual taste you can't let go. Very special.

An excellent Riesling! If you were suspicious about NZ whites 20 years ago, well, life is a journey, full of discoveries, and China is a rather big country. hell, good food demands great wines. The rest is eurocentism and, worse, Porterism for wines. We had a blast! This Riesling (not a blend) is fresh, fruity, bright, balanced, fun, v drinkable w/o any undesirable aftertastes and leaving your head okay the morning after. A friend brought it from London, a 2017 harvest, and boy, were we suspicious? Then again: Coming from a 19th vineyard - how would they not know their thing? It‘s us not knowing their wines! — 6 years ago
