One of my favorite wines. This is nice and sweet but also crisp. A little bit bubbly but not too much. Goes really nicely with apples and peanut butter ā 7 years ago
Fantastic cherry, blackberry w hint of smoke ā 8 years ago
This is full bodied, lots of taste, a little kick ā 8 years ago
Plenty of acidity to carry ripe fruit. These guys make some amazing chard. ā 8 years ago
Very smooth with hints of blackberry and cherry. Slight bite at the end. Very enjoyable especially for the price ā 9 years ago
Drinking beautifully now. Nose of red berries and cola with just a hint of Pinot funk. One of our favorite producers! ā 10 years ago
Wow! One of the better 2011s I've tried. Very smooth and a great nose, yet can lay down for years to come. Well done Aaron! ā 11 years ago
Lip smacking! ā 11 years ago
Sette Ponti or "seven bridges," refers to the 7 bridges crossing the Arno River on the road from Arezzo to Florence. Blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Went to a tasting, had ā14 & ā15 side by side. Very dark enticing red with concentrated aromas of dark fruits & earthy notes. Flavors of cherry & plum with tobacco and spice. Firm but approachable tannins, medium length ending with a bit of spice as the finish builds. Best to drink ā14 now. Tasting Sample. ā 7 years ago
Third of our seven year vertical tonight....Scratch that the 2014 came out too.
Dark mix of garnet and ruby red. Lovely nose with pencil shaving, purple flowers, spices, cassis and more currants. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Love the gravel on the palate, almost mountain like with tight dark berries and dark spices. Long finish. Drink till 2024. ā 7 years ago
Sweeter than I expected but still a dry dessert wine. Good with chocolate. ā 8 years ago
Nice wine, affordable price! ā 8 years ago
Ooh St Innocent. Wish all years were like 2002. So good. Still dark ruby with just a touch of bricking. Nose of a blackberry clove. Still tannins but soften with a little air. In the mouth is a full bodied earthy balanced black fruit that goes on and on. ā 9 years ago
Lighter red wine with a ripe cherry-juice nose. Slightly sour cherry and blackberry flavors. The clarity of fruit and balanced flavors should age well for at least 5 years ā 9 years ago
Great value drop ā 10 years ago
Seven hills vineyard planted 1981. A very balanced style of Syrah with black olive white pepper and dark plum and blackberry fruit atouch of smoke. A very savory style of Syrah a good amount of fruit and a savory finish leaves the tongue salivating for another glass. Finish 45+ excellent + ā 11 years ago
Light bodied, cherry fruit - live it!! ā 11 years ago
Orange-red clear color; nose has red and black cherries, strawberries, underbrush, herbs, wet used socks (in a good way:-), flower petals, and hints of oak flavours; on the palate are red fruits, medium acids, soft tannins, candy-sweets, and a faint but lasting finish. No hints of herbacious green notes observed in my last Oregon PNs. Had with Dutch cheeses and Italian charcutery and Shostakovich 2:nd piano trio played on a master recording from 1983 by the Borodin Trio. ā 7 years ago
Complex layers of fruit and integrating tannins. Still firm though. Few more years for this great wine. ā 7 years ago
Super dark and concentrated in the glass. Notes of cassis, gravel and cedar dominate the nose. On the palate strong flavors of blackberry and currants fill your mouth with a rich, silky texture...a touch savory in the background. Soft(ish) tannins and low to medium acidity. Long finish. This is a really nice wine. ā 8 years ago
Washington is great for Merlot. Seven Hills is known for being a beacon of sorts. They are generally the first to harvest. This is from their top Merlot blocks from the 37 year old vines in their estate vineyard. Seven Hills wines age like crazy and their Merlot based stuff calls more to the Right Bank in Bordeaux than the new world. Living in Washington, I think I view Seven Hills like listening to the Beatles or The Stones. Too much looking for the new thing & not listening enough to what one knows is great. This is great. ā 8 years ago
Great Pinot with solid depth and balance. Plenty of spiced black cherry and raspberry fruit. Cola, licorice, and subdued cedar create lots to appreciate. 2010 can probably age gracefully for another 5 years. ā 9 years ago
Still full of alcohol and has a hint of currents. Tanino have smoothed out. ā 10 years ago
Still the best Oregon white I've ever had. Rocking acid, nice nose, great finish. White Burgundy DoppelgƤnger, but at a fraction of the cost. ā 10 years ago
One of our favs! ā 11 years ago
Full bodied. Nice wine. Smooth. ā 12 years ago

Bright and vibrant. Strawberry, cranberry, cherry cola, with touch of smoke. The purity of the red fruits is the standout here. The body is a bit lean but not without substance, finishing off with lingering and authoritative mineral notes. ā 6 years ago
