Blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Very dark Ruby with pronounced aromas of dark fruits, cigar box & earthy notes, touch of floral citrus. Flavors of black cherry & blackberry with tobacco & spice. Fine tight tannins, long finish ending with cacao, tobacco & mineral spice as the finish builds. Decant now! Orange-red clear color; nose has red and black cherries, strawberries, underbrush, herbs, wet used socks (in a good way:-), flower petals, and hints of oak flavours; on the palate are red fruits, medium acids, soft tannins, candy-sweets, and a faint but lasting finish. No hints of herbacious green notes observed in my last Oregon PNs. Had with Dutch cheeses and Italian charcutery and Shostakovich 2:nd piano trio played on a master recording from 1983 by the Borodin Trio. — 8 years ago
