Bought the 2013 vintage at tasting room in Los Olivos. Pricey for a Pinot but delicious — 7 years ago

Rich, round fruit and a nice dry finish. Los Olivos Wine Merchant Cafe — 9 years ago
While visiting the Qupé tasting room in Los Olivos, they poured the medium-ruby '11 Sawyer Lindquist Vineyard Pinot Noir. A funky earthy nose intermixed with floral and savory herb notes. Subtle and elegant palate of cranberry and cherry flavors. Hints of neutral oak on the aftertaste. — 10 years ago

Wow... What a fantastic, delicious wine. Pasta...yes, cheese and grapes.....yes! This should easily be rated in the mid 90's. this will be a staple for a long time. Los Olivos best kept secret! — 12 years ago
Time for my #FridayCabernetfix. This week it's a nice Cabernet Franc from California.
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Beautiful nose of black currants, cherries, dried figs, vanilla, cedar, licorice, spices, flowers, dark chocolates, black pepper and light earth.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with black plums, cherries, sweet strawberries, black currants, raspberries, wood, spices, chocolates, tobacco, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a great Cabernet Franc from Santa Ynez Valley, California.
Drinking very nicely now. Showing medium complexity with a nice, soft mouthfeel.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.

I had this vintage 6 months ago, and it is drinking better now. This 4 year old should drink nicely in the next few years.

Doug Margerum founded MWC in 2001, producing limited quantities of Rhône grape varietal wines.100% Viognier from 2 vineyards, aged for 8 months in neutral French oak barrels, with a small portion undergoing malolactic fermentation. Light straw with aromas of tropical fruits with hints of honey notes and sweet spice. On the palate ripe peach, apple and melon flavors with subtle notes of vanilla, well balance with acidity. Smooth lingering finish ending with a little minerality. Very nice! Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago
Simply beautiful!! — 10 years ago
Rich purple in color with a nose full of sage and mountain herbs, this mouthwatering wine has fruity notes of blackberry and raspberry that introduce a muscular structure with earthy notes. A highly focused wine, delectable and powerful, composed of succulent fruit, aromatic spice and marvelous piquancy. Pairs well with chocolate desserts!
The grapes were sourced from the Koehler Estate Vineyard in Los Olivos and Black Oak Vineyard in Los Alamos, in Santa Barbara County. 91 Points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine. — 10 years ago

Delicious, from Los Olivos, tasting room — 12 years ago
This drinks perfectly at 11 years old. Definitely Jura reminiscent. A bit tight at first, tart lemon and rind. Then toasted marshmallow and burnt sugar, then some funk. Just brilliant. — 6 years ago
Very powerful!!! First experience with a Paul Lato wine, but it won’t be my last. Very familiar flavor profile from the Los Olivos. Blast of blue and black fruits, acidity at medium at this point but still a pleasant tannic press on the long long finish. Still has many many years of life!! — 6 years ago
Drank with chilli. Big dry red. — 7 years ago

We snagged a bottle after a terrific tasting in Los Olivos and now I wish we grabbed two. This was just a great wine from a great vintage for the Santa Ynez Valley - an undercurrent of cooked meat ran throughout the sumptuous dark berry taste. Rounded out with espresso, spice, butterscotch sauce and perfectly calibrated tannins. — 5 years ago
