Just gorgeous—maybe my favorite yet from Kelley Fox. The old vines, elevation and pacific breeze of this site clearly contribute to an incredible elegance and transparency. Vibrant strawberry, rhubarb and black cherry with spice, forest floor and tilled soil. I’m a fan. Opened one of my earliest purchases from the winery, and it’s so good. Ruby red, very good clarity, light to moderate pigment extraction. Black currant, raspberry and blackberry in nose with a hint of funk, red fruit galore in the mouth. Light skin and seed tannins, enough to remind you it’s still grape juice, albeit fermented. Really well crafted and balanced. Raspberry flavors starts early, cherry and some cranberry come later. Layers of red fruit depth, worth the wait. — 6 years ago
