Very nice - nicely fruity on the nose, medium to full bodied, just a hint of sweetness, excellent acid and a nice long finish. Had at Auberge d'Ill. — 8 years ago
A great Riesling! Especially if you don't like it too sweet a perfect in the middle — 8 years ago
damp hay, concord grape, marshmallow, shrimp broth, mega wet stone - almost oily palate, med+/high phenolics, med + acid — 9 years ago
Light and fruity. I don't usually like a sweet white, but this one just borders my too sweet tolerance. My white wine guest seem to like it too! Will purchase again to keep it chilled for future guest, and myself! — 9 years ago
Excellent for the price and as advertised — 9 years ago

My Parents favorite Riesling — 6 years ago
Smokey nose. Palate is great. Lovely rich fruit. Big acidity nice density on the palate. Pure as pure lemon zest. Wow. Like the best ever. There’s some indescribable savory thing going on that’s just bloody awesome. Lovely internal aromatics. Savory finish with a brisk acidic zing. Wow. This is a winery to watch and stock up on before the inevitable fame, price doubling and allocation game. Bought from Fass Selections. — 6 years ago

A new kid on the block. Weingut Schmitt make this interesting Riesling without any added sulfur. — 8 years ago
Normally dessert wines are not my favourite but ice wine is an exception. This beautiful "eiswein" goes lovely with German chocolate cake and raspberry sauce. — 9 years ago
Tasty! Nice light flavor slightly sweet and nicely accompanies any meal. — 9 years ago
Very sweet and fruity. Had a taste of peach. Great for something different. — 9 years ago
I adore this vineyard and am so happy to be selling it. Until this bottling never had any except Knebel. Stunning nose. Full of lower model opulence and minerality plus the bruckstuck funk. Yellow fruits and flowers abound along with a striking herbal element. Unreal nose. Palate is dense and chewy but light as a feather with perfectly judged opulence. Amazing acidity and so complex. Balanced and extraordinarily long and textured. Stunningly purity and grip. Wow. — 6 years ago
Perfect and inexpensive for those who like sweet red - comes in single serve bottles — 6 years ago

One of the best Crémants in this region. — 9 years ago
Red bright fruit. Light. No tannins. Med+ acid. Awesome with pork chops. Slight ash/dustiness on the nose perhaps with a little clay. Simple. Well worth the price. — 9 years ago
Genteel, floral, fine, perhaps a bit front loaded and short. — 10 years ago

Stunning. More precise and focused than Koberner. Tight, taut, backwards, lean and mineral. I like. Citrus, stone fruits, lemon candy, herbal, floral, very complex. Super mineral as well. Dry tree bark as all sorts of herbs and natural forest scents. It unfurls incredibly. Super aromatic and notable complexity. Palate is terrifically juicy and also very structured. So dense and complex with terrific structure and purity. What depth! Wow. Like a skyscraper in structure, but so skinny, nimble and clean. So pure and electric with nice richness on the finish. This is young and has so much going for it. Structure of a top GG. Unreal complexity and endless depth. I can’t wait to see where this ends up. — 5 years ago
