My new favorite label from WA. Deep enough fruit but it doesn't dive into the depths of Saturated, it bobs up for acid and glides on the surface of "Ahhh, That's great." I mean- you wouldn't like it, let me get you a beer... — 11 years ago

100% completely biased. But people said they loved it — 10 years ago
Very nice balance with a smooth finish. Not too bold. Would pair with a variety of foods. Would drink again — 11 years ago
This wine is a blend of 32%Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 19% Petit Verdot. This comes to us from the Columbia Valley in Washington State. The nose is a bit tight. There is a little heat with alcohol, I am sure if I let it set for awhile the alcohol will blow off and it will start opening up. I am getting some smoke, licorice, and vegetal notes. On the palate is a good smooth velvety mouth feel. Definitely more of the vegetal notes and dark bing cherries with a long clean finish. This a very nice MareLow based wine good right now but will be good to lay down for another 5-10 years. — 12 years ago
Les Huisman
This is the "Desolation" from the Champoux Vineyard. Has held up beautifully. It had such screaming acid and austerity upon release, I put it away, and kinda forgot about it. More reminiscent of mature white Burg than anything domestic. Rich with a touch of spice and forest floor. Fantastic with a Ramp Risotto. — 10 years ago
