⚡️Man, these wines have so much verve.. they remind me of my 4-yr old - full of freaking energy and absolutely unrelenting... in a good way of course 😇
Nose is so clean with some mineral drive, crisp Granny Smith, and floral aromatics, palate is lively and fresh.. much more crisp and light weight than the Charles Heintz vineyard. The anti-Cali chard. Rombauer lovers, look away! 😆 — 7 years ago
Has a nice bright acidity. The fruit is very dark (as expected for mourvedre) but it's also incredibly fresh. Reminds me a of a young grenache in it's freshness, but with a darker fruit profile and more weight on the palate. It will be interesting to see how this develops more character with time in the cellar. — 8 years ago
I loved this. I'm usually not swooned easily by California cab these days, but this bottle rocked me. Juicy rich sweet black fruit, vanilla and chocolate overtones and aromatics of cedar, market cherry, and eucalyptus. Dense but velvety on the finish. What a well-done cab from an oft-overlooked part of California. It probably didn't hurt that I had Georg Riedel pouring it for me out of a gorgeous decanter either. — 8 years ago
2012 vintage. Pale lemon. Full concentration - quite oaky and vanilla essence, ripe lemon. On the palate, medium minus acidity, full body and deep concentration. Bit too big for me. Drink now until 2023. — 9 years ago
Thought I'd try this inexpensive bottle, and then ended up loving it. Great crisp fruity flavor, not bitter. I went back to the market and bought all they had--Spring & Summer will be here soon! — 9 years ago
Surprisingly, I kinda liked this despite my aversion to overly-hopped beers. The nose is a straight up hop-bomb - floral, citrusy, piney. The palate's also full-on, with heaps of hoppy bitterness, but balanced by malty sweetness and tropical fruit notes (passionfruit and mango for me). Finishes crisp and earthy. Not bad, but not my kind of beer (not an IPA fan basically). — 6 years ago
This wine was fabulous to me. My wife gave it a 9.5 and I think it was a 9.8, so we compromised. Its fruity and bold on the front with a multitude of earthflavors experienced to the back. — 7 years ago
This had me thinking it was potentially from the Côte de Beaune. — 8 years ago
Very smooth and soft. — 9 years ago
Not a fan upon first opening but it's growing on me. — 9 years ago
Michael Cruse’s wines deserve more recognition than they receive. His single vineyard bottlings are spectacular. His style is lean, fruity, and a dedicated employment of whole cluster press.
This Evangelho Carignan has a deep purple color in a medium, full body. There is bright blackberry, oak, and sandalwood. Intensely concentrated, on the serious structured side of the spectrum for the Cruse portfolio. — 6 years ago

I’ve started seeing quite a bit of this winery on Delectable as of late, and @Jason Oliver does a great job of being an ambassador for them. He informed me of a killer deal they had going, so I snagged a 3-pack.
Robbie Meyer (of Del Dotto, Pierson Meyer) became the full time winemaker in 2015. The Spur is their red blend and really is an awesome value for Livermore Valley. Bordeaux varietals + petite sirah. Super dark in the glass. Nose is full of herbs, crushed blackberries, graphite. I thought it would be super heavy on the palate due to the color, but it was soft. Easy to pick up the petite sirah in this with the spice and pepper on the finish. Tart and spicy fruit too like rhubarb. Smokiness and cedar wood. Looking forward to the merlot and Malbec I have. — 8 years ago
First for me. Late post. Remember being afraid of the alcohol but it was well tamed considering it clocked in at 14.9. Complex and delicious. Thanks Eric!! — 9 years ago
I really like this because it just goes to show Randy's flexibility and desire to experiment. True #bordeauxblend style with the #freshness of the #santacruz there are notes that remind me of #loire — 9 years ago
Smooth red wine. Not sweet but delicious! — 9 years ago

I have enjoyed every wine I have tasted from Morgan Peterson at Bedrock. His wines are pure, restrained, balanced and delicious. This is from a vineyard in east bay where you never hear anyone talking about, Contra Costa County, Hwy 4, really? Yes, really! It is full of red fruit and spice, nice acidity, no apparent oak but still nicely textured. This is what red blends should be. It was fantastic with a grilled steak. Worth seeking out. — 5 years ago
