Années: 20% '11, 80% '12, Dosage: 4g/l, Decanted/Burgundy glass, took about 1.5hrs to shine, was tried beside the Savart, both such outstanding examples of true/pure RM's, there was the beautiful yogurt intensity that shone through with some air, much like the Savart, such great terroirs. — 9 years ago
Apple pie before it enters the oven - in the nostrils. Yeast. 0f course. Smells sweeter and creamier than the Savart. Faster finish than the others tasted tonight but the creaminess of the bubbles is quite nice. Acid is tamed and in balance. — 9 years ago

2011 vintage. Bright and crisp up front. Yellow and green apple in the middle. Finishing up with almond and walnut undertones. Pop a bottle and let it open up for a half hour before taking the 2nd sip, if you can wait that long. — 10 years ago

High toned fruit. Berries and citrus. Lovely acid, a drinkable wine — 6 years ago
Pinot noir 0 dosage très droit et léger dégorgé février 2018 — 7 years ago
Stunning. Shares a underripe fruit complexity that's similar to the likes of Bouchard, Savart, and Prevost. Long, powerful finish. This will be fought after soon enough. — 8 years ago

Green apple, dough and citrus on the nose. Quite acidic and green, but undergirded with floral and mineral quality. Beautifully balanced! — 9 years ago

Orange, lime, tangerine, minerality. Elevated acidity, intensity and finish. Brioche coming through on the palate towards the finish. — 7 years ago
Michel Fallon was once the cellar master at Jacques Selosse. He started making wines since 2000 in Selosse's cellar and makes approximately 800-900 bottles a year. This was quite like Bereche or Savart on the nose with crisp green apples and citrus. This eventually gave way to some oxidative notes but certainly not to the extent of Krug or Selosse. Saline, minerally, and chalky on the palate. The bubbles did not last for the entirety of the meal and apparently this suggests that the wine is a grower and not a house. I have yet to figure out why. The biggest clue was the finish. While the nose was alluring, the finish was rather short after a hour into dinner. Surprised to learn that was was a Blanc de Blanc as it displayed a few Pinot characteristics. Lovely wine but I'll stick to my Savart's. — 8 years ago
Ahh, so good. Purple flowers, citrus blossoms, Smarties candy, soft, fluffy mousse. A tremendous bottle of Champagne.. #thewonderfulworldofbank — 10 years ago
This Magnum is beautiful. — 11 years ago
Fascinating and showing a bit of bottle age. Shows the area with sandy soils and a light character. Somewhat like Savart, but distinct. — 12 years ago

Fascinating wine. So much going on. Super vinous, even cidery. Gold in the glass, a little oxidative, looong finish. Some subtle green flavors, a leafy wild herbal thing. Deep, tooth tingling acid, but mature, white balsamic-type acid. Yeasty but long-fermented sourdough type yeasty. Madeleines and lemon marmelade. Enjoy this with rich food, like roast game bird. Or Cheetos. We paired it with Cheetos. Deg sept 2019. — 6 years ago
