Super Sardinian :) 50/50 Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cannonau - hmmm it's delicious, garnet color and medium body - pomegranate, plums, raisins and liquor cherries (Grenache higher alcohol) with ripe but medium+ tannins . Super floral on the nose, with strong notes of lemon peel and river rock. The palate is surprisingly lush/ripe and full bodied for a Vermentino - maybe the 14% ABV talking here. I also get a hint of spearmint and stone fruit in the midpalate. Bracing lively acidity throughout. Long finish for an Italian white. Awesome with goat cheese and a fig/olive tapenade. — 9 years ago

Wow. Love this Sardinian. The front is big and salty. My favorite with big flavored food. I have not decided on the end yet. This went down with an awesome grilled pork loin seasoned in prunes and Dijon mustard. Side was a very flavorful split pea and onion mash. — 11 years ago
