Cinghiale. Love mascarello, but this needs more time, despite the hot summer in '09. — 8 years ago
Browned butter, caramel, toasted pecans. Evaporates on the palette leaving diaphanous notes of caramelized buttery joy. A Chianti masquerading as a sherry. One of the most delicious wines, or liquids for that matter, I've ever tasted. First had from the winery in Tuscany. Will always be a favorite. 2005 vintage — 8 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
An outstanding Italian white, I just had to taste again. 100% Carricante grown in deep volcanic soil, aged in French oak for 10 months . Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and honeysuckle blossom. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and lemon citrus with creamy vanilla wrapped in generous acidity, long finish ending with wet stone minerality. Nice, consistent quality. — 4 years ago
