This is a nice wine with a lot going for it! Big graphite on the nose, blackened, brackish fish bones. Resinous tar, maple nut, charcoal, graphite, slate-y blackberry that morphs into dried black currant, espresso with chicory, licorice, black raisin, and olive tapenade! Stupendous! Not for fruit flies, but crypt dwellers: put down those frightened teens, and pick up a glass of these magma-seared, skeletal, zombie piranhas! Santé! — 9 years ago

#Joseph #Drouhin has become synonymous with consistency over the past decades, producing lovely, affordable reds and whites beginning with his flagship monopole "Clos des Mouches". This rather simple but thoroughly satisfying, delicious #Beaune-#Greves from 1993 was fully developed yet still riding the crest of the wave that's carried it gracefully to the present day--SANTÉ! #JosephDrouhin #BeauneGrèves #PremierCru #Burgundy #PinotNoir #winelover — 9 years ago

Sergent calls this site "Les Prés Dieu" and I don't blame him at all... this delicious, extra #Brût, all-Chardonnay cuvée is as close to godliness as one can get! Made in very limited quantities it drinks beautifully now as an aperitif or with freshly shucked oysters--SANTÉ! #GuillaumeSergent #LesPrésDieu #Champagne #ExtraBrut #Chardonnay — 9 years ago

Here's what acme says about my wine :D enjoy
A gorgeous nose of red cherry fruit and earthy spice, the palate is pleasantly stemmy, with a perfect balance of fruit, minerality, tannin and spice. Earlier in the day we tasted a bunch of Burgundy, and we knew that this wine could have been part of that line up. We know it’s approaching summer, but we're breaking out the Dutch oven for some Coq au vin…or maybe we'll just be lazy and go to Bouchon. Either way, you get it! Santé! — 11 years ago

Beautiful Cotes Du Rhône that goes down extremely smooth. Fruity but not overbearing, a nice finish, not too long, but holds on for a little bit. The Syrah provides a nice body while the Granache fills it in. Very pleasant 👌🏼 — 8 years ago
