Funky, herbal, earthy Austrians all up in my mouth. — 8 years ago
Not on the same level than the Sankt Nikolaus imo. More on the riper fruit side as the site is warmer. Also very complex in the nose but missing the extra umph I get from the SN. And I'm very curious how it will age, appeals very open & "ready" at the moment. — 9 years ago

Solid, but fell a bit flat compared to the Nightmare on Brett aged in Port barrels. This was Batch 5 from June 2015. — 10 years ago
Campari lovers rejoice! Remember hanging at Leopold's on S. Main St in AA. I loved their kegs. — 10 years ago

Nose is similar to a Maryland style, also with Black Tea/Bergamot notes. Nice smooth and slightly sweet finish. — 8 years ago
Second time for me tasting this wine and I'm still impressed by the complexity. So many layers of different aromas. Very impressive. On the palate its a totally differential approach than all the GGs I tasted before. Much rounder, softer with pure elegance and a super, super subtle power. This Sankt Nikolaus plays in a totally different league. Kühn told us that he wants to do a different wine out of the grape variety than the other producers. Like the Tements do in Austria with their Sauvignon Blancs he said. — 9 years ago
Savory. Savage beastly 'ok wine. Ripe lush and quite interesting. — 10 years ago
2011 vintage. St Laurent. Tastes like a German Pinot. Really good.
This is Sankt Laurent, not a Zweigelt Blend. — 11 years ago

Oh yes I did. If the somms of Texas are going to grab pretty much every bottle not earmarked for NYC and CA, then I'm drinking this one! Grown on limestone, yes, this is a very different idea of what Gruner can do. Embrace it. There are grapes, and there is the soil/dirt/rocks/minerals they are planted in. — 9 years ago
Lekker fris, net zoet genoeg bij Chinees gepocheerde kipfilet. — 9 years ago
Marie Leopold Les Mutines Sec. Beautiful- formal, tiny hint of sweetness with citrus, apricot & mineral. Incredible acidity for 20g/l dosage! Perfect with the foie & roasted apricots that @Gary Westby and @Cindy Westby prepared for the closing crew! Thanks! Beautiful @mariepetitloriot @Michel Loriot ! — 10 years ago

Wife and I loved this funky Sankt Laurent! This grape didn’t fail in maintaining its mysterious history (marriage between a Pinot Noir and a second elusive grape!). — 7 years ago
