Saline, pure, and fresh. Pretty meaty, with dark fruit and grippy tannins. Some heat. — 10 years ago

Really enjoyed this - probably peaking now. Solid tannic earthy base but lots of blackberries and cherries on the nose. Really well balanced for a Sang. — 11 years ago
Took about an hour in the glass for the oak to integrate, but once it did, the wine sang. — 12 years ago

This 34 was bit worrisome as level was mid-low shoulder and cork was tad crumbling. But the wine sang LATOUR out of the bottle like Genie out of the bottle and then he escaped rather quickly as the wine's bloom did not last. Still sweet in the core with wet leather, spiced nuts kind of notes...still a wonder of a wine. Sediment was heavy! — 10 years ago

Fantastically balanced. Bright sour, not skunky geuze sour. Not phenolic. Rich grape flavors. Some oak, tobacco flavor. — 11 years ago

Really nice Barolo. I have had three or four of these over the last 15 months. Tonight with white truffles, pasta and some mains. Earthy, mushrooms on the nose. Took a while to open, but after about 90 minutes really sang. — 11 years ago
