Tasted at BaroloBrunello Milano 2017. Strong — 6 years ago
A very balanced wine. Wonderful stone fruits of underripe apricot and peach. More dense than other Vernaccia’s we have tried but with a clean brightness that we have come to expect. — 7 years ago
Great with food esp spicy Sichuan. By itself not as great, green apples and minerals about, a bit like a Sauv Blanc with a light effervescence in the liquid. — 7 years ago
Perfect with grilled halibut — 8 years ago
Still strutting its stuff with some earthy dark cherry and moderate oak notes. Tannic grip still apparent with the cherry. Great stuff! — 9 years ago
Drank too soon but demonstrative of classic Brunello! — 9 years ago
Supertuscan by Mastrojanni: blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon — 10 years ago
100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. The fruit is bold, but it keeps the noteworthy tannins and alcohol in lovely balance. Oaky on the finish but not overpowering. Beautiful wine. Thank You so much, Kase. — 2 years ago
A 100% sangiovese grape wine this balanced is rare. A hidden gem in he heart of Tuscany this wine had a hint of tart flavor that mixed well with the beef tartare. I plan to drink the whole bottle before the first meal arrives. — 6 years ago

Cherry, earthy, and oak @San Polino — 4 years ago
Exactly what I am looking for in a Brunello. Lovely balance of fruit and acidity. Typical Sangiovese characteristics coming through. Tertiary aromas of mushrooms and smoke starting to appear. At a perfect stage for drinking now. — 5 years ago
Nose: white peach, yellow apple, bruised melon, apricot, grass, Parmesan cheese, wet hay.
Palate: pear, apple, lemongrass, lime, saline, grapefruit, parsley, medium astringency. — 6 years ago
