2007: youthful freshness, delicious lemony fruittones with first signs of maturation, balanced and very pleasant. Drink 2020-25. Enjoyed with Sami & Meri with Kantabrian pork stew. — 11 years ago

Powerful but with grace. Typical 2012 Barossa. Mr John Duval has producer a good wine. Structure, deep core fruit. Needs time, slightly closed. Purple dark inky colour. Plum, blackcurrant and vanilla are prominent. Chocolate with great acidity. Length of flavour falls short for me . I don't think this is in the same league as Standish or Sami Odi. Lacked X-factor. Cellar for 10+ years. 92 points. — 11 years ago
Blend of three grapes (Sami in Georgian) Alexandreuli, Saperavi and Merlot. Fantastic. — 11 years ago

Beautifully fresh. Briar, blackberry, even a little red fruit suggestive; light, lithe - yet with a framework that belies that. Simply delicious. — 11 years ago
