Very good Yamahai.
Steamed rice, nectarines and grass on the nose, with roasted chestnuts on the palate. Rich and luscious. — 10 years ago
Very good warm sake. Smooth finish with a hint of licorice. Will definitely have again. — 7 years ago

Smooth and supple with a hint of sweetness without any heaviness — 8 years ago
Candylike aromas on the nose of pear and red apple, bubblegum, cherry blossom. Sweet cherry blossom and honey on the palate with a big dose of anise, red and black licorice. Pure and crystalline but just a bit oversweet and medicinal to me. — 10 years ago
Tentaka Shuzo, Tentaka Kuni, "Hawk in the Heavens." Tochigi Pefect, Junmai Sake. My wife loved this with Sushi. Pretty fragrant with subtle hints of berries. Only had a small sip as she didn't want to share. — 10 years ago

Clean with mildly sweet mid palate and creamy finish. I think this sake has been under rated. — 9 years ago

Nice light sake — 10 years ago
Mellow and smooth we take it. I feel the need for food with this beverage and fortunately some sauerkraut sandwiches and hand rolls did ok for simple finger foods...but I feel like some more meaty food is needed here to flesh out the better nuances available in this drink, and some rice, of course. Preparedness is key, be forewarned. Greatness abounds and I was not prepared to handle this beautiful woman the way she wanted. — 11 years ago
