Lush, soft stewed tomatoes, tart cherries. Perfect with brown sugar mustard glazed salmon and some braised chard. Like, whoa. — 9 years ago
Has come into its own over the past year or two. — 10 years ago
Probably the best under $15 Tuscan I've had. Medium body, fresh cherry, a little herb. Some complexity and pleasant tannins to the finish which is rare for a Sangiovese at this price point. — 10 years ago
Mature red fruits, balanced acidity, deep aromas, expressive and delicated... Nice! — 10 years ago
Love the entire #Hofstätter line! — 11 years ago
Full bodied and very berry — 12 years ago
Deep ruby, blackberry, vanilla oak, dry ripe tannins, cocoa black fruits, clovey spice, deep and meaningful, all in balance with its 15% alcohol. — 12 years ago
€15.90 on the restaurant wine list. The wine list said it is a blend but the bottle only mentions Tempranillo. Pleasant enough to order again. Restaurant will be changing name/venue soon. Enjoyed our meals here overlooking the boardwalk & beach. — 4 years ago
Excellent rich full body wine. Fantastic wine to relax with and kick back in the evening. Big fan of Scott’s wines — 7 years ago
Another wonderful Merlot. Mountain wines are known for beautiful dark color, intense aromatics and full bodied flavors. This Howell Mountain wine does not disappoint. Beautiful ruby red color and great aromas of blue fruit, cedar and a little earthiness. The tannins on this young wine are very apparent but seem to integrate nicely with the intense flavors of blueberries and baking spices while in your mouth. I am sure this wine will improve with age but it drinks very well today. — 8 years ago
Some mineral but light. Super awesome. — 9 years ago

Wonderful light red. Fruit forward and very drinkable, not sweet. — 10 years ago
Excellent vino nobile! — 11 years ago
Intensely aromatic. Black tea, rose petals, red cherry and tar. Every component feels accentuated but in a very balanced way. Lots of fruit, good amount of acid, solid tannic grip and long finish. — 11 years ago
Tasting in the vinyard !!!!! — 12 years ago
Never had rosso de montepulciano, I never knew this was a different region then montepulciano. Wife picked this up and it is very good. I got an education from a Tuscan friend about the region I will keep an eye out for rosso de montepulciano wines. — 7 years ago
Fresh and bright with red cherry and plum fruit accented with tar, floral and brown spice notes. Palate has lovely texture with nice fruit and round tannins. Lacking a touch of depth and complexity that I would have expected with the bottle age. While not profound, very pleased to have 6 more bottles. — 7 years ago
Incredible. Holds up very well. Aged dark fruit. — 8 years ago
Peppery funk. Delicious. — 9 years ago

Buttery in front plus green apple at the end. Flavor punch of a Chardonnay with the crisp flavor you love on a warm summer night! — 10 years ago
Stinky! But very good — 10 years ago
One of last bottles I bought in 2004 in Italy at winery. Absolutely gorgeous nose. Cherry, floral, Coca Cola. Still has lots of fruit smooth tannins and great length. Drinking window by professional stated through 2015. Has at least 5 years in my mind. — 11 years ago

At La Gazzetta Italian restaurant for the second time. The first wine we tried here last time we didn’t like so we tried a different, more expensive one this time. Much better experience by spending a few more Euros…22.50€ on the wine list but the only charged us 18.50€ because we told them we didn’t like their 18.50€ wine. Nice gesture…one that will bring us back. — 3 years ago
