Smooth, rich berries. Mild bitter, tartness on initial taste transitions to a velvety smooth dark cherry fruit that is lightly sweet with a lingering dryness. Pairs well with spicy food — 7 years ago
Sound wine... very sound... but not the life and excitement i was expecting. — 8 years ago
I love to drink chilled. Sweet and easy drinking. — 9 years ago
Beautifully sweet and a clingy grape and berry like aftertaste. Absolutely delicious to be drunk by itself. Will be hard to pair but love it. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
Delicious Chardonnay with beautiful flavours, balanced wine with great length — 10 years ago
Beechwood world class Chard. Very impressive. Here in Hunter Valley at the winery! Bravo! — 11 years ago
Biodynamic single-vineyard wine. Estate grown Shiraz with a touch of Viognier.
Its smokiness surrounds aromas of anise and cedary oak with blackberries. It's meaty with a hint of animality, cinnamon and bacon strip. — 11 years ago
Fruity and pure — 6 years ago
Big, rich and bold. Lightly sweet up front and tart + spice on the back. A bit on the tart side of the spectrum for me. Tart fruits really pop! — 7 years ago
Hello old friend. Smooth and violety with bright red and black fruit! Red licorice, pepper, star anise, all spice. All in all, fucking delicious. A beautiful cool climate Shiraz, not too jammy. I haven't had this in a long time, and it's very welcome in these trying times — 8 years ago
Full bodied and lush. Very good — 9 years ago
Soft and savoury, very long. — 10 years ago
Oh my god! What a wonderful dessert wine.
Burnt orange color with a copper hue and a pale yellow/orange rim. Color in the bottle is more brown than orange.
Immensely strong nose of curry, indian spices (as if you walked into an Indian restaurant), cinnamon, coffee, brandy, orange peel, tumurac, raisins, figs and dates.
Extremely smooth and soft on the palate, with figs, raisins, dates, coffee, sweet candy, citrus and sweet cherries.
Sweet, Full bodied, bold and buttery with great legs. It actually tastes like a liquor would, without the alcohol burn.
Long finish with a trace of brandy.
17% alcohol.
The high acidity makes this sweet dessert wine, very balanced and non cloying.
Poured from a 375ml bottle.
This is a non vintage bottle, but I held it for 8 years in my cellar, and boy does it show... — 10 years ago
Best buy for the buck--my white go to. Fruit forward dry finish. Good body but drinkable. So much in this little wine! 2014 — 10 years ago
Flatline Red of Nebbiolo, Shiraz, Sangiovese - but in a good way.

Really great example of this Italian variety from closer to home. Loved the depth of flavour here. Really accomplished wine making on show — 10 years ago
Delicious and impressive right out of the bottle. Smooth, bold, dry and incredible — 11 years ago
Cherry and rhubarb with the main. Then the nice mocha choccie tones kick off for the dessert. — 11 years ago
Truly, a Syrah not Shiraz from Australia. Pretty, restrained- not overly floral or jammy. Only outdone by Gary's Healesville Syrah- which is a feminine beast. — 12 years ago
