Lovely, light but packs a punch. — 7 years ago
Very good. Even better after letting it sit for a bit. Paired with apple cider vinegar braised pork chops, grilled asparagus, tomato & mozzarella salad — 8 years ago
It responds well to the definition of this wine: medium bodied with a light aromatic accent. This one adds a distinctive flowery flavor, with a presence of rose and a little violet. — 8 years ago
2013 vintage; grape is called Ruché Castagnole Monferrato grown north of Barolo. Small percentage of grapes (5%) are dried before pressed, like appassiemento, and rest are harvested late. Quite viscous with red brick color of light intensity; interesting intense nose of dark dried fruits and raspberries; same fruits in the mouth with added silky tannins, liquorice, acidity and long finish. Me likey! — 10 years ago

We love Ruche and Chicago does too. Like a love child between Nebbiolo and Grignolino. — 11 years ago
magnum of 2009 Sparkling Ruche from Cantine Sant'Agata....saving this for a special occasion — 12 years ago
Dried berry fruit, lightly tart. Pleasantly light bodied. Smooth tannins and noticeable 14 ABV — 7 years ago
Found at Cucina Enoteca in Del Mar - San Diego County by the glass and at the other locations of this Restaurant group. Well not a 10 but for the money a solid 9. 🌹 roses, violets, cherry and Earl Grey tea. Ruche is a rare Italian grape from Piedmont often you get a shit wine from this very small appellation - this one is good. — 8 years ago

I'm dying it's so delicious.. 2013 vintage — 10 years ago
Is similar in body and texture as zinfandel. But instead of strawberry notes of wild berry and pepper. Pleasant floral aromas, and soft finish. — 10 years ago
Nice and spicy. Light with red fruit abundant — 11 years ago
Starts out tough. Let it breathe and it becomes awesome. Decant if you can and you will be rewarded:) — 11 years ago
Medicinal and savory, opening up to an almost Burgundian prettiness about two hours in. It didn’t last, but altogether fascinating (if not consistently pleasurable). — 7 years ago
2015 vintage. Fantastic. — 7 years ago
If you love Italian wines or, going further, Piemonte, you owe it to yourself to try this wine, made of the rare Ruché grape (100 ha planted as of 2010 according to the Oxford Companion). It is rather beguiling, and despite its bitter finish and tannic undergirding, reveals its charms easily. An opaque nebbiolo garnet colour. Immediate burst of citrus on the front palate. Nose of spices and leather. Bracing acidity, long tannic finish. Utterly fascinating. — 8 years ago
