The 2009 Kings Row is an interesting wine with rich tobacco, cherry and licorice aromas. This has a lusciously smooth taste of the red fruit, pencil shavings with a slight hint of spices that lingers on your palate makes this a nice guilty pleasure. It is costly and a nice treat but there are others out there that have a better value to quality ratio for those that don't want to drop big bucks. But if you can swing it please treat yourself. #kingsrow #calistoga #checkerboard — 10 years ago
I've never had the 2009, but the smokey 2008 is sitting in my closet waiting for a special occasion.❤️ — 10 years ago

Two days in a row with this lovely southern French lady. A little more polished tonight. Curious to see what she will be like tomorrow. — 10 years ago
So good and yet so young tasting! It's an '05 and has plenty of time left! This was very drinkable but very easily could lay down another decade and some. — 10 years ago

Pronounced aromas of blackberries and violets. Full bodied and well balanced. Lush rich flavors and vibrant at the same time. Drinks excellent now and can definitely age. — 10 years ago
