The 2019 Friulano is incredibly pretty and perfumed, impressing most with its lifted display of sweet florals, white smoke and peaches. It’s weighty in texture, even creamy at times, yet wonderfully balanced and poised, mixing ripe fruits with juicy acids to create a pleasantly round expression which seems to slowly melt away, leaving a hint of almond paste. There is so much to like here in this purely delicious Friulano. (Eric Guido, Vinous, Janaury 2021)

The 2016 Barbaresco is a gorgeous entry-level wine in this range. Dark and fleshy, the 2016 offers terrific depth as well as plenty of character, which is great to see in its peer group. Black cherry, plum, mocha, leather, spice and licorice all meld together. One of the more open wines in the range, the Barbaresco will also give readers an idea of what to expect. This is an absolutely delicious wine in its peer group and price range. The straight Barbaresco is a blend from Meruzzano and young vine fruit from Ronchi. Crisp, light, low acid. Hints of mango, honeysuckle and light lemon. Very nice with our shrimp and veggies — 4 years ago
A deep purplish red, opaque, slightly orange rim. Light cherry nose and palate, some waxiness, and a hint of mustiness. Quite balanced with low acidity, medium+ tannins. Approachable, ready, but not lengthy. Paired great with veal in red sauce. I would everyone within range to come to CuVino and checkout @Ralph DiBiasi stellar Italian wine list!
