Owned by Richard Frank and Koerner Rombauer. Straw with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus & vanilla scents. On the palate complex flavors of crisp apple, melon & lemon, balanced with good acidity & great mouthfeel. Lingering finish ending with toasty mineral spice. As much as most of us get annoyed with the perfect storm that comes with Rombauer making and catering to everything cougar juice with their oaked out butter bomb signature Chardonnay...i love to admit that theirs is definitely the best Zin I've had in recent memory. Rich, jammy fruit. Perfect balance. Cold and mountaineous terroir creates for small and concentrated berries with more tannins, but this was great to drink now. Smooth with a perfect length of finish. Near perfect wine! — 10 years ago
