Very good #grunerveltliner from #austrianwine pale lemon color with pronounced aromas of white flowers like honeysuckle and jasmine. Citrus fruits like lemon peel and grapefruit. Herbal aromas like spicy rocket (arugula) and secondary aromas of cream. Medium body and pronounced intensity flavors. The finish is long and the wine is very good because of the complexity and intensity of the aromas and flavors, the length of the finish and the overall balance with a very smooth texture. — 8 years ago
So I believe this Sunshine Vineyard is from the Wappo Hill portion of the Hartwell Estate......sorry now this portion belongs to the Realm Cellars estate. (Moonracer) Highly recommend checking out if you find it @Carl Fischer @Shay Aldriedge @Ron R @Martin G Rivard @David L @Isaac Pirolo @Roman Sukley @Paul T
Medium to deep garnet red with bricking on the edges. Stinky and savory on the nose straight from the get go. Opened up over the next half hour or so with stoney notes, a touch smoky and soft red cherries. Well integrated and smooth, moderate tannins (6/10). Beautiful aged characteristics on the palate with notes of dusty black cherries, a touch of chalk and dust, mushrooms, truffles, and also gains some aged red cherries. Medium plus body with a super long finish. This bottle has aged very well. Drink now if you like power in your Cabernet but this will keep for few more years. Drink till 2020. — 8 years ago
Perfect with seafood at On the Marsh at Kennebunk — 8 years ago
Wow. What a treat this was. This is a very rare and special gewurztraminer made by Manfred for his good friend @Roman Sukley with a personally inscribed note from Manfred for Roman to share it with friends and family.
This wine is the nectar of the gods. Amazing — 9 years ago

How many of you every noticed the hologram on the Bond label? Look down the bottle and the latter "B" is as clear as day. Pretty nifty. @V M @Jason Heller @Scott E @Ira Shapiro @Mike Smith @Steve Swaney @Bill Bender @Roman Sukley — 10 years ago
Roman wine!! Like a fruity fragrant Pinot noir. — 11 years ago
My first Ferren and I’m prepping with a 2-3 decant as suggested by @Roman Sukley @DAG and @David L notes to follow. For now the wine is moderately cloudy, nose of yeast and brioche with a quite strikingly vibrant pear yellow hue. Happy Thanksgiving Delectable peeps who always entertain and often inform. This is a spectacular, exceptionally well made Chardonnay. Oily, rich and loaded with viscosity but also so energetic and full of verve. I’m impressed. As close to Kongsgaard The Judge that I’ve had at a fraction of the price. — 7 years ago
Fruity and aromatic. It's sake but tastes like white wine. — 8 years ago
One of my favorite dinners was on the menu here at Chez Skip - cassoulet! And my knowledge of wine pairing is as sophisticated as a toddler eating spaghetti, I said to myself - hey I am eating French food and I like this French wine, so hey why not? And that was that. But as wine can be, it evoked its memory of when I had it first. I remember sitting out in the patio and being impressed with it. I thought to myself I could really enjoy French wines, but as history has shown, that was clearly a short lived notion.
Knowing it had been some time, I had an odd feeling, so I checked my Delectable history. Indeed, this was the very first wine I had rated!
So, to my friends, do you remember your first wine on here? Was it anything memorable? @philip Angino @Martin A. Spectacular and the UPS guy was not even in the driveway @Roman Sukley
Tannins were supple and the alcohol tame. — 10 years ago
Fresh and crisp. Perfect for a roman hot summer night — 10 years ago
One of my favorites. Lots of richness and complexity but it doesn't lose the lightness and minerality that I love from this area. El pecado=the sin, roman slaves who worked this vineyard called it hell bc it was so steep, this is Raùl's homage to them. 2011 vintage — 10 years ago
In laws picked it up in Frankfurt, really nice! — 11 years ago
Roman white wine — 12 years ago
Medium ruby core with garnet edges. Aged characteristics on the nose with damp earth, a little espresso, a touch smoky, cinnamon and stewed plums. Medium tannins (6/10) and plus medium body. Dark cocoa on the attack of the palate intermingled with plums, black currants, black cherries and lots of spices. A bit of anise and the Petit Verdot coming through in the medium plus finish. Drink till 2018.

Ahh, reminds me of Fridays back in Chicago @Roman Sukley always started with a white as we got organized. Often with one of these. Lemon, slightly tart, honey, and ends with a hint of earth. Grabbed at a local liquor store, I'll have to go back and grab a couple more bottles. Not a whole lot of choices here in Casper. WY. 2014. 14.5 ABV. This is a fun wine! Cherries, red fruits, with some spice and earthy funk. And acid! Great red to pair with steak salad or summer grub (burgers!) — 9 years ago
My first shot at the Realm white and it delivered huge. Astounding aromatics of sassafras (yes! @Roman Sukley) and rain soaked vegetation. Melon rind, stream bed and a lively verve. I may be crazy but I get a Haut Brion blanc vibe here. Outstanding with fresh oysters and good company. — 9 years ago
Never know what you might find. It may have been a little past prime but it's a crowd pleasure and nudge me to order some young. @Bill Bender and @Roman Sukley too like them young. — 9 years ago
