This may be the smoothest Hermitage I've had @ £83 it's like a pig rolling in velvet 🐷 so smooooth 😍 Great now but 97+ over next 5-20yrs 😎
🍷 Ruby w/ purple hue
👃 Cloves, Olives, thyme & piggy 💩 through blackberry w/ touch of liquorice & minerals
👄 Med+ body incredibly super smooth olive tapenade, blackberry & dark cherry - surprisingly well balanced @ this age 👍
🎯 Long dark fruit & olive pure silk finish — 8 years ago
My favourite NV 100% Pinot Noir champagne 😍 this £70 NV is a couple of years old now adding to its complexity 👍 it's superb
🍷 Golden yellow w/ orange hue
👃 Intense toasted smokey singed oak infused buttery brioche, caramelised honeyed apple, pear, peach, citrus mist & burnt marmalade 😍
👄 Lively med+ bodied burnt caramelised & honeyed mousse of apple, pear & buttery sweet vanilla orange & peach
🎯 Long creamy burnt caramel honey apple, sweet pear & citrus — 8 years ago
What the hell. Let's keep the cab train rolling! A strong bouquet of cherry and toasty oak. The cherry notes are accompanied by currant, cinnamon and a heavy dose of baking spices, and mushroom. The finish is long with dusty tannins. So many knock Silver Oak because it's big, oaky and relatively straight-forward. There certainly are more complex options out there. But that doesn't mean it's not well done. — 9 years ago
Fruit forward and lovely. Paired with meatloaf and potatoes. Not a typical Syrah. Soft, not spicy. Big but not overpowering. — 9 years ago
Lush! Favorite new friend. Beautiful red fruit meets Russian River brown earth. Sad only had 1 bottle. — 10 years ago

Just gimme a little drink; from your loving cup...oh, and the Merlot is good too. — 12 years ago
This 59 was Rocking and Rolling. Firing on all cylinders and showing gloriously. My contribution to this evening’s wine gluttony!!!!
It’s absolutely mind blowing how these wines can hold up and pass the test of time. Bravo to old world wine making!! — 7 years ago

Pink Pinot Porn 💗
The steamy finessed intricate pink bubbles tease you as they dance around the glass hypnotising you to take a sip of the deep clear amber, shining copper & salmon love juice. The nose seduces with a powerful floral cherry red berry smokey soil leafy peachy brioche mist. Helplessly your palette succumbs to a smooth rich strawberry peach & red berry biscuity mousse caress that teases you to take another as the kiss lingers on and on. I thought the 96 pink DP was hot but this is X-rated! Drank in a Zalto Burgundy glass & decanted.

Bargain quality Chablis @ £12 & it's hard to beat on price - 88-90 every vintage & my go to @ this price 👍 a true ☀️ glugger 😎
🍷 Light golden yellow w/ lime hue
👃 Fresh wet rock mineral mist, citrus, green tart & sweet apples, melon & white flowers with a touch of fuel, grapefruit & pear
👄 Crisp refreshing med bodied full fruit palate of slight creamy sour green apples, citrus & touch grapefruit w/ medium tart acidity
🎯 Long dry finish of citrus & sour green apples smashed over wet mineral rocks — 8 years ago
First red from Black Ankle. Garnet red with a dark core. Slightly stinky attack on the nose followed by some dark cocoa and nutmeg. Undertones of dark fruits. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) with a medium body. Dark cocoa and cherries on the palate with some good acidity and backbone. Long slightly dry finish. Drink till 2019. Very interesting Label actually says 11/12/13. — 9 years ago
If you're looking for a cheap but fruity wine, this is a pretty choice. There's still a light alcohol taste to it but overall it taste like juice. — 10 years ago
A light, dry wine with a light, dry finish. Awesome merlot. — 11 years ago

Few friends over last night and what was supposed to a relaxing evening became a drinking free for all and it was a blast but no way posting last night - had this wine previously for 2010 and 11 and first time with 12 - stunning wine and really got things rolling - we killed this bottle like was water after being in the desert for two days - in seconds and @Jody Scharf not a lot of breathing but a lot oh yeahs - a little sweeter than I remember but a great time which leads me to my final seasonal quote from Elf "I like to smile ... smiling is my favorite" and of course this wine is helping so much - PS not smiling as much this morning - belated Merry Christmas to all and to all get some rest — 9 years ago
A transfiguring, shape-shifting demon of flavor and memory. A single sip is like the ending scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey but instead of weird space stuff, it's the rolling hills of Piedmont and 1000s of herbs and fruits morphing into one another. #magic @Raymond Domenico — 9 years ago
Cheap but so delicious. It is like drinking koolaid wine. Great for beginning wine drinkers — 10 years ago
