A Kiwi SB with a citric punch, this excellent white has a floral nose, lemongrass and lime flavors up front, leading into a palate cleansing lemon zest finish. It went well with blackened tilapia and steamed green beans. — 8 years ago

Still very dark color, complex aromas of tree bark and medium-ripe blackfruits, quite dense and rich, yet balanced w/excellent acidity, very long finish, I'd guess this will go another 10-20 years, easily. Outstanding!! 12.5% ABV, 85 year old vines. Kudos to Rod!!! — 9 years ago

This Chardonnay is the shit. Bright golden rod, low viscosity, no sign of imperfection. On the nose, it exhibits honey, stewed pear and baking spice. The dominant notes on the palate are apricot, vanilla, and lemon cream pie. The finish includes notes of golden raisins and the bitter white part of a lemon. Seems to be aged part in steel, part in used oak. — 7 years ago
