Rocky volcanic soils. Aged in french oak barrels for 18 months.
Layers of ripe dark fruits, chocolate, leather and oak. Pretty earthy with hints of herb and pipe tobacco.

WON for me. Currants, cracked pepper, rocky minerality, some wild flowers in the nose too. The palate is developed but definitely young, well structured but not too bony. Fantastic clean and precise finish. — 11 years ago
Rich, velvety, plush goodness washes over the tongue and lingers like high quality dark chocolate melting slowly. Plum, blackberry, currant, black pepper, leather and cedar all blend wonderfully. — 12 years ago
