Had it with a chuck steak. Very nice red, that mellowed nicely throughout dinner. — 9 years ago

Seemed maybe a bit beyond its day... had a bit of an odd aroma. But still good and interesting! ... day 2: wow, much nicer. Changed my rating. Opening up recommended! — 10 years ago
1983 Rosso Conero, who'da thunk it would still be drinkable, much less pretty okay? Heading toward portville but still showing primary and fruity characteristics. Better on its own or with cheese than pasta with tomato sauce. — 11 years ago
Rather liked this one. Drake it at the bar at the Wine Steward and brought a bottle home. — 7 years ago
Had this one a few times, good for weeknight dinners, keeps okay a day after opening in the fridge — 7 years ago

Tasted a 68 in sep 2016 thanks yo the generosity pf Maria Jose Lopez de Heredia and Jose luis Ripa. Plenty of dry red fruit, chestnuts and tertiary aromas. Very much alive. It was a treat — 9 years ago

Nice balance of acidity and tannins. Black cherry on the palate. — 9 years ago
This is excellent! And I thought it was cool that I just happened to be reading about Mona Lisa! I guess this wine was bottled at Fattoria La Ripa owned in the 15th century by the one and only Mona Lisa! The label recalls Leonardo's typical back to front handwriting. It's actually very light for a Chianti. Very good! — 9 years ago
Very drinkable right out of the bottle. Expect it to open up quite nicely. Very smooth; elegant. — 10 years ago
