This vintage is drinking well right now five years after vintage. No tightness. This is still all about the fruit too. Well done! — 7 years ago
2009. Solid. Very nice. Once it opened it was just the right amount of tangy with a slight hint of pepper. — 8 years ago
Highly recommend. Eat it. — 8 years ago
Happy New Year!
Maybe the Michel Arnould old vines powerhouse is too serious for a lighthearted celebration, but it was just right for father and son wine geeks having New Years dinner alone together for the first time since 1999.

Caught this 07 just at the right time! Jammy and spicy. It smoothed right out after about 30 min.#vsattui — 9 years ago
Just the right balance of fruit v. Minerality. Really lovely. Delicious! — 9 years ago
Beautiful. Great, right away: perfumed, delicate, very fine structure. But after a couple of hours open more depth, richness to balance the high tones. V long. — 9 years ago
Really nice. Great nose right off the bat. Works well with my atrocious citibike weather, delivery steak frites from AOC, and top chef finale. Psyched for second half with lebron v clippers. I get a ton of richness, especially for the price - also get good fruit and some tar. Really solid. Thanks to Sarah for the recommendation. Go heat. — 10 years ago
Dark, half opaque ruby. Funky aromas come to the nose right away, in harmonic array between white truffles, mushrooms, a bit of cow manure, and red and dark cherry aromas. Wonderful presentation upon entrance in the palate, showing delicious cherry juice flavors that evolve onto darker fruits such as black currant and dates, but also a bit of vegetable V-8 juice, celery, and tomato juice as it evolves in your mouth towards a desirable lingering finish. What a pleasant surprise this wine is, made out of one of my favorite varietals, from Dan, Israel, for $10 ten US dollars?? This is really pretty good. The finish lingers with pretty savory flavors and V-8 juice. Even some coppery, bit of bloody mary flavors. Can't wait to try this with prime rib or beef bourgognon. 89+ pts. — 10 years ago
I tried this purely because it's Somm juice right now and what could be more tempting? This is happy wine but there's more complexity in there than puppy dog happiness. Nothing against puppies of course... Deep red and dark purple fruit. Green/stalky mouth tingling quality almost an anesthetic character but that's kinda all wine amirite? Smoky earthy things happening, a v romantic autumnal cabin in the woods. Could have definitely benefitted from decanting but too late it's gone. — 7 years ago
Great expression. Very bright and alive. Layers of tobacco and raspberry saltwater taffy, rich and structured with mouthwatering finish. So good right now. Rockin' and ready for many more years in the cellar. 92% PV 8%CS — 7 years ago
Drank for 2016 "Open That Bottle Night." Cheated a little with 1 hour decant. Tasted good right out of bottle and opened a bit after decant. Still velvety mouth feel with some tannins left and very tasty, but likely slightly past drinking prime. Recommend drinking now if still in your cellar. — 8 years ago
Amazing wine. Not too sweet like other Rieslings....just right. Honeysuckle bouquet, green apple aroma and honey. Crisp taste and smooth and slightly dry finish. I paired it with a soft Parmesan cheese. — 8 years ago
2007 at its finest!!! So smooth right out of the bottle. #vsattui — 9 years ago
Smooth and seriousley at the right price point. — 9 years ago
2011. Wonderful mix of black fruit and earthiness. Very right for a southern Rhone. Spice, garrigue, old barn wood, tar. Love the taste. Finish is 20 seconds. I liked the 2010 even more, but this is great for the money. — 9 years ago
L-O-V-E this one! My mom was right (as usual)....the Kabinett's are DELICIOUS! — 10 years ago
V 1995. Gorgeous right out of the bottle. Still plenty of structure left too. — 10 years ago
2012 The secret is to wait for the right time to open a wine ( or discover it in the back of the fridge). V smooth — 7 years ago
Anniversary champagne from Kamran V - sweet in the right places, pairs nicely w our wedding cake — 7 years ago
Not too much bio but has the right crisp from Chardonnay. Matches nicely w white sauce pasta, chicken and beans. V neat. — 7 years ago
Tannins are v light. Smooth taste. I reserve the right to increase the rating after a few more hours of decanting. — 8 years ago
2010. This will be awesome in a few years when the oak mellows a bit. Right now it was great with the lamb duo and smoked duck breast at V Mertz. — 9 years ago
If you like sweet wine this is the one for you it's easy to drink very smooth the fruits gold come forward but you have to be someone who enjoys of sweet wine excellent right out of Napa Valley — 9 years ago
V-right all night! — 9 years ago
V loves this. The right level of Riesling. — 10 years ago
Tasted 1 feb 2014 wine tasting night. Parker describes as a sleeper of the vintage saying it will keep till 2050. Sure he's right! Was v nice but at almost £100 more than the reserve 09 we also tasted couldn't be described as good value. Cost £120.50 — 10 years ago

18.5. 2009. Best white in a long while. Has it all. Light gold, v deep nose of white fruits. Perfect balance, with just the right acidity for this Full, rich fruit. Very very long. I still have a few bottles of the 09 (the first vintage) - Mme Ferrando tells me she has none left, even for herself. Mine will last for a long while if I can refrain from drinking them - but I do have following vintages... — 6 years ago
