Brought this wine back from Tuscany where I toured the winery. Delicious dessert wine. Nice balance of sweet & acid hint of pear. — 10 years ago

Deep reddish crimson in color. Initial taste is light on the tongue followed by a blast of flavor and a full bodied finish. The scent is less intense than the flavor to an extent it masks the overall flavor of the wine but in a food way, like an incentive to quickly have its lush fruity flavors tickle the tastebuds — 12 years ago
@Delectable Wine this ID needs some work. Should be 20th Anniv. but not Sangio or a blend. This is 100% Merlot from the vast Ricasoli property. Though every one in the room thought it was (or included) Cabernet. Hugely structured and powerful, dark fruit, thick tannins. This needs a few years of aging to reach its potential - for now I was not a true believer. — 7 years ago

Had to get @Delectable Wine to add this manually so I believe this is a new bottling from Barone Ricasoli. Purchased at the winery, this is a fascinating blend of Sauv Blanc, Chard, and Malvasia made in an immediate style (quick cold maceration, no wood). Nose of peach, white flowers and slate. Palate adds some green melon and apricot pit. Zingy acidity and a long mineral finish. Under the Tuscan Sun...not the book but real life! — 7 years ago
